I stayed here when my friend Leah came to visit me in Ecuador. The beds were wonderfully soft and while the bathroom we had was a little small, every room we saw felt cozy rather than cramped. The breakfast in the morning was substantial enough...More
We stayed three nights in this hotel which is located in the Mariscal (room 23), in a quiet street. Our room had a first floor with the bathroom and a single bed and on the second floor, a double bed. The bathroom is small but...More
Stayed here either side of our Galapogas tour, lovely old colonial style building, tastefully decorated with great little common areas inside and out. Excellent, comfortable, cozy well equipped rooms, my only criticism would be that they would benefit from some sort of extraction system in...More

Hi Steve, sorry if this is too late but I don't check tripadvisor regularly. It takes about 45 minutes from the airport to the hotel, maybe a little more in rush hour. We had transfers so I'm afraid I don't know the price. The safest way is as with the rest of the city to take an official cab with all the badges. That said, we used an unbadged taxi for another trip once and it was fine and in general we found the city safe - did quite a bit of walking at night to and from restaurants and bars. There were a few streets that looked dodgy but use commonsense and you should be fine.
