Rooms are brown and orange and v 70s with no windows as building is traditional style with internal courtyard. It was clean and location is great for old town. Breakfast was terrible so we went out everyday and there was no atmosphere at al. The front door was only locked overnight which didn't feel very secure and the staff offered...

I stayed at The Hotel Catedral for just one night on a stopover between Quito and Cuenca. I've stayed at a couple of other places in this price range in Quito and this is most definitely the best one. It's a gem in the heart of the city. It's in a beautiful old building that was recently restored. All rooms...

The Hotel Catedral is in a great location, just two blocks from Plaza de La Independencia in the old section of Quito. The building is quite charming, with much of the old stone-and wood-work visible. I travelled to and from Quito a few times during my three week vacation in Ecuador, so stayed in three separate rooms between my visits...

Hotel Catedral Internacional is a charming little hotel with 16 rooms around a bright inner courtyard. My wife, teenage daughter and I stayed in a very large basic triple room for 5 nights (booked for 3 but stayed for another 2). Very quiet, good beakfast and a popular place for lunch. We had lunch at the hotel which serves a...

Let's start with the positive - good value and a central location, only 2 blocks from the Plaza Grande in Quito. Nice staff, trying hard, in a difficult situation, good breakfast for the price. But! - rooms are becoming delapidated (shelves falling off walls, bed raked so the head is lower than the feet!) - rooms at the front are...

Hi there, I don´t understand the bad comments, because the receptionists are really friendly and helpful and so the internet is free and works well, with the password that we give. But I think it depends on how every person see it . The front door is always locked for safety matters. We always ask them if they feel good...

We stayed here after returning from the Galapagos Islands (we stayed in the new town before going and chose this location to see the historical city center). The hotel is nice, clean, beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, and secure. There's a great restaurant close by called Vista Hermosa with good food and beautiful views of the city! This was a great...

This hotel is a gem. It´s affordable, clean, and the staff gave us very professional, efficient and friendly service. Plus, it´s in a great location, just a few blocks from the Gande Plaza, walking distance from the most impressive attractions in the central historical center. My guide book (Frommers) was not up to date, so it was a bit more...

I have recently returned from my holiday in Ecuador where I stayed at the Catedral Hotel International in Quito. This was a fantastic hotel which I would highly recommend to family and friends. Myself and my partner stayed at the hotel for a total of 3 nights, before we went to Galapogos. I found the hotel to be of a...
