My wife and I stayed in the Casa San Rafael for three nights and had an exceptional stay. The hotel is a beautiful colonial building with lots of character and charm. The breakfast is great with fresh fruit, buns and eggs. Juan and Valeria who work at the front desk were excellent, both very helpful. The cleaning/cooking staff were all...

This is the best place to stay in Cuenca. I been to several Hotels in Ecuador and this was the nicest. My room has a great view of the city! The owners are so nice and the staff is friendly. A very strong recomendation!

Old world, small boutique hotel in the heart of where you want to be in Cuenca. You can easily walk all over town from one site to another. The breakfast is delicious and served by wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. A nice change from many of today's hotels who offer buffet style breakfasts. In fact, Marcela attempted to even give...

Recently spent a week at Casa San Rafaela and it could not have been a better choice. The hotel is in the middle of the old town and very convenient walking distance to everything. Parque Calderon, the center of town is only 4 blocks away. And Calle Larga, with numerous bars and restaurants is also about 4 blocks. The hotel...

We had an enjoyable stay at the hotel. We arrived late the first night and had an interior room...i asked the next morning if we could move to an exterior room, the owner of the hotel was very very nice and moved us immediately. That room had not been available i guess the night before. Its definitely an individual choice...

Casa San Rafael is centrally located in beautiful Cuena, perfect for walking and exploring. The staff was exceptional and the room and common areas beautiful. The thick colonial walls and windows blocked out any unwelcome street noise and we slept wonderfully. Mucho gusto!

This was a wonderful hotel. We rented two rooms for 6 nights. Could not have had a better experience. Staff went out of their way to help us with our visit. Rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was excellent and a great start for each day. Arranged for town and area guides and drivers to see Cajas and El Chorro...

First, any poor reviews that talk about noisey streets and small rooms should be ignored. This is a colonial building, likely a born as a house, on a busy street in the middle and best part of old Cuenca. Amazing restoration work with attention to detail, cute rooms with a lot of character, cleanliness throughout and wonderful staff. The best...

Lovely, old colonial house; family run hotel and very friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. Very well located for touring the historic center of Cuenca - just a few blocks walk from the main square and cathedral. Bed and breakfast style, but happy to let us bring in our own wines and drink these in the lounge before going out for...

This is a family run hotel near the centre. The building is more than a hundred years old but has been updated and is full of character. A special mention for the staff who went out of their way to be welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts were very good. We enjoyed our stay here and wished we could have stayed...
