This is a great place to stay in cuenca but the prices are a little high. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The Hostel is central located. the views of the city are fabulous. The breakfast is tasty.

We took a cab from the airport. It's the easiest way. Just show the driver the address, it works whether he speaks English or not.

Additionally, about Casa San Rafael in Cuenca, Ecuador: There is no transport to a cruise-port, since there is none. Cuenca is high in the Andes, so no cruises. The airport is close by, a dollar or so by taxi. Enjoy.

If they do not have one, I am sure they can refer you to a company that would take you to the port. They are very helpful.
