We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, in 2 different rooms. The first room was located around the beautiful garden. The room and bathroom were small, but clean and neat. The second room was located near the reception. It was very large, but did not have an outside window. The second room also was much more noisy, with people...

Booked for one night at the front desk. I went with my little sis and were staying just for the weekend in Cuenca. Rooms are pretty comfortable but could be cleaner, although we checked up restroom and linen, the price was worth it. Breakfast was very simple. The house is actually very nice, colonial style. We were given this room...

The rooms are small but very comfortable, clean and quiet (except for the 4 AM rooster nearby). Breakfast is basic or you can order a breakfast at a small charge. It is not far from the centre of Cuenca. The gardens are beautiful and the staff is extremely helpful. I was ill when I arrived and they helped summon a...

Very nice room, although my traveling companion ended up with a room with bath which could only be accessed from the balcony. Beautiful patios, however, the noise from those using them echoed throughout the facility. My room was large and spacious. A very good value. Very simple breakfasts were pleasant. Cuenca is quite small and walking around is easy.

I stayed in Hostal Macondo for two nights, in the smallest but really cute room next to the patio garden. The shared facilities were clean, the breakfast was basic but good and the garden is very peaceful. But I also recommend this hostal for its friendly and helpful poeple who work here. Room large and clean. Three blocks away from the cathedral, so it is not in the middle of the center. They provide free tea in the kitchen, and you can use the shared refrigerator for keeping some food. There is no inetrnet in this hostel although they say there is. There is one very old laptop which they permit limited 30...

Relaxed quiet environment short walk to el centro. Stayed 4 nights for $108 in room with double bed, table, room to spread out and spacious bathroom. Comfortable warm bed gave a great sleep. I stayed in two different rooms for a total of six days. Despite heavy traffic in the street outside none penetrated inside. The staff were unfailingly helpful, attentive, courteous and friendly without ever being obtrusive. The service was what one might expect paying much more. Rooms and beds were clean and comfortable and cleaned with fresh soap, towels and hand...
