I stay at this hotel frequently, since I travel to Cuenca for business. This hotel is conveniently located, and the staff is friendly and helpful. If you are in town for business they have a business center available to use in the main floor.

Loved the place, the people ( with the exception of the prison guard waiter during breakfast time), and the FOOD. The place is so pretty, conveniently located and serves the best food and drink in Cuenca for lunch and dinner. The breakfast on the other hand is too basic and the coffee is too weak to my licking. It's that...

Renovated historic building with grand arts. Large rooms and confortable bed. Avoid rooms overlooking the street as it was very noisy throughout the night particularly therebis no A/C. Friendly staff. We changed the hotel after one night because of the noise.

I used to be an old and frequent client of this place, since yesterday night NOT ANYMORE. This place used to be so charming and nice, with well-trained and gentle staff and complimentary services, NOT ANYMORE. All staff is rude and unfriendly, they hardly even say Good Morning, forget the "thank you", "have a nice day" or smiles. There have...

The Cuenca Hotel is an average hotel compared to the other hotels in Cuenca I have stayed in. The rooms are large, all the usual perks in the bathroom, lots of hot water. No elevator. Friendly Spanish speaking staff. There is a small bar where the buffet breakfast is served. The bartender speaks English a little. Also adjacent to the...

You will hear EVERYTHING! There is absolutely no sound proofing between the rooms. The 'fitness centre' is a tiny room with some broken equipment. The 'business centre' doesn't have a computer which renders it useless. The breakfast is very basic consisting of bread, jam, fruit (pineapple and papya) and some fried plantain all of very poor quality. There was no...

I love the historic look. The Service was great. The area was nice. Good restaurants within walking distance. The only worry was no A/C, but that ended up being no problem at all. The staff always had a taxi for me within 5 minutes. Also very near the airport.

Apparently I booked a "budget" room which only entitles me to an interior room with a small window in the bathroom! Stuffy to say the least! A ceiling fan would be lovely. Otherwise a fairly nice hotel. First night the WiFi in my room was horrible, now it is better. Probably wouldn't stay again, but who knows?

Hotel Cuenca is very close to the night life and restaurants. Looking for a room I was told they had rooms with free breakfast. Started high but was able to talk them into a lower price. It was the same price if I was to book on Priceline, trip advisors, orbits etc.. The room good, hot shower didn't last too...

Excellent location.Quiet street at night. Just close enough to the main plaza, 3 blocks away. Extraordinary quantity and quality of food in their reataurant and very good value. Very quirky and cool decor from the games rooms on the ground floor and on up the staircase and landings. Wonderful use of mirrors and furnishings in the public areas. The bedrooms,...
