We had a room that was on the top floor, overlooking the breakfast terrace, which we thought might be noisy at night but was not at all.It was light and big enough, with a really good bathroom and hot water. The staff was super friendly. The location is excellent, and easy walk to the Plaza de Armas and other sites....

This hotel is nice. Not special, but just ok! Good showers, breakfast is fine and on a nice terrace. Rooms are clean but not very romantic or anything. Staff is friendly. Tip: Take a tour with Colca Canyon around the corner, it's more expensive but really much better!!

Stayed as part of a gadventure tour. Our room was on the main floor with the (only) window onto the entrance courtyard hence it was noisy with little privacy. Two of our group had the room next to reception that was used for storing bags - they ended up covered in insect bites (bed bugs??). The hotel staff were totally...

Stayed in a double ensuite room either side of a Colca Canyon trek. A lovely hostel, with nicely furnished, quiet, clean rooms and good views over the city to the mountains. Breakfast was good enough (cereals, bread and jam), but if you wanted more you could pay extra for freshly cooked eggs or pancakes. Staff were very helpful and spoke...

Thanks to all previous reviewers, we confidently booked Hostal Solar for three nights and asked for room on one of the top floors. We got it! Room 401 is on its own on the rooftop and the window perfectly frames the Misti Volcano. It was clean, had a fabulous hot shower, and breakfasts on the terrace were just lovely. We...

Wow! Where to start?? This hostel is amazing. Our triple room was very clean and cozy and had by far the best shower I ever had in Peru. Breakfast was nice with great terrace view. The staff of the hostel were beyond amazing and helped us during everything - starting Machu Piccu tickets and when we had trouble with our...

We ended up spending most of our nights in Arequipa at this hotel because our experience was great. However, do not get a room on the bottom floor. The one we had there was only decent while the others were excellent. Get a room facing El misti for excellent views, and if you can, her the lonely room on the...

We stayed for five nights in a double room on the first floor, near to the terrace. After moving fairly quickly through Copacabana, Isle deal sol and Puno we wanted somewhere to relax, warm up a bit and enjoy the city of Arequipa, Hostal Solar was perfect. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the bed was warm. The...

Very well located in city center of Arequipa, just a stone throw from the Plaza de Armas and near plenty of restaurants, this cozy hostal offers exactly what you need for a short stay in Arequipa! Great front-desk service, free pick-up from the bus station (they pay the taxi driver), clean rooms and great views of the Misti and Chachani....

Firstly, everyone else on our G Adventures trip had nice rooms and no problems but I'm starting to feel a bit screwed over by G Adventures at this point, my room was unclean and stunk like it hadn't been used in a while where as some of our group got a top floor room with amazing views and all the...
