I usually go to Cusco for work, so I want a hotel that is close to everything, it is quite at night and pleasant. I found Hostal Quipu through a friend in Cusco and I was very impressed. It was very charming, clean, cozy and close to everything. I Had an excellent breakfast (toast, eggs, coffee and mil and fresh... More

Our favorite stay during our Peru and Bolivia trip. The staff, despite their general lack of English, were superb! We stayed on three different occasions and always looked forward to our return. Their coca tea is the best and the room and bathroom were clean. Plaza de Armas is a 10 minute stroll away, but at this price point you... More

I travelled Peru for a month and stayed here for a week, and can easily say that this was the best hotel. The two ladies running the show were truly professionals and put their best effort to keep quests happy. On one day the water heater broke down so there was no hot water in the shower. Ladies called serviceguy... More

A really quite place, not fit for those who are looking to party all night, but great for those who want a quite homey place to return to. The staff was great and cared for all our needs. The facilities are way nicer than an other place we've been to at the same price range

We adored our stay in Quipu! Location: an easy 10 minute walk from the main square (Plaza de Armas), but on a safe side street so it was nice and quiet at night. Hostel: the hostel is inside a beautiful colonial building with a central courtyard and the rooms around it. We stayed in two different rooms and they were... More

I feel like you get more than you pay for in this quaint Hostal. The staff was very friendly, and I enjoyed the made fresh breakfast. It was a short walk to the plaza. There was no heater, but the many blankets on the bed kept me warm. The only downside to this place is the street noise and dogs... More

The rooms have basic furniture, But I think is OK for the price paid ($30) We stayed just for sleeping. The breakfast is the best. Service people are so kind. I will stay right there my next time in Cusco.

We stayed nearly a week there, taking trips to Macchu Picchu and Pisac and came back right after each trip, because it's just a very nice hostel with comfortable beds. The breakfast is awesome (huevo everyday). The people are awesome (no problem to leave our stuff there when going on a trip; always very kind). I almost felt like home.... More

Following a man advertising at the bus station, we paid 60 soles for a matrimonial room with basic breakfast at Quipu Hostal and couldn't beat the value. while it's a little further out than most hotels, Quipu is still only a 10min walk from the main square, tourist centre and San Pedro market and was cheaper than all other accommodation... Made reservations based on good reviews and price. Walked into the hostel and looked into a cavernous reception area that was dark, dingy, and filled with backpacker bags. Guess locking stuff into a room isn't an option? Saw into a couple of rooms and they just looked sad and dingy. We left and went back to a small hotel nearby... More
