Don't listen to the bad reviews. This hostel is really great. It is safe, good location, easy to get water, good rooms with clean beds, and the breakfast is free. Other food is good as well. There are activities every day and the lounge area is sweet. Yes, there will be music at night and yes people get up in...

In All three days of my stay, I couldn't sleep at all, all because of the building structure. Afternoon nap (under mountain sickness) was made impossible because loud party music played in everyone corner. Finally after 10pm, music stopped, people talking in the yard wouldn't stop for the whole night. To make it worse, between 3am to 4am, there is...

This place is beautiful. It's an old building that's renovated so it maintains an old school charm yet complete with modern amenities. it's on the higher end of hostels in Cusco when it comes to price so i expected more from them. I stayed here twice so i think i could give a more objective review. Beds were really comfy....

It's a party hostel, but it wasn't too crazy. Great location. On site food/bar/atm. Free WiFi (But doesn't work great in the rooms. Better in common areas). Food is decently priced. The volunteers are all really helpful, but the staff have a bit of an attitude. If they mess up your food order, don't expect them to fix it. The...

If you are going to Cuzco and you are young and travelling with friends, this is the best choice. Great hostel with many activities including a bar, beer-pong, karaoke, futbol-tennis, and a lot more. Nice place to spend with friends, and its only at 3 blocks to the Plaza de Armas. I would return there without doubt!

We got a private room and it was very, very lovely! Clean and spacious, and the woman cleaning it was really sweet. Very happy with it. The food was a mess, often came out wrong, and was priced weirdly (example: you can get a 9 falafel dish for much less than a dish that is 3 falafels + some lettuce...

It's a very busy property, we checked in (us 3 girls) at around 10pm and there were people there before us and people there after us checking in. But even with that being said, they still managed to give us a warm welcome and even managed to upgrade our room from a 6 Girls only bedroom to a 3 bed...

It was very comfortable to sleep in and we had our own bathroom. All our valuables were safe and had no problems with anything going missing. Our room had a great view of the rooftops and mountains. The room we had was very quiet, aside from the time when the bands were playing in the plazas. The only downside is...

Great location in Cusco. Comfortable beds. Great staff! Only drawback is the noise. Alternately, there is something going on every night for those that wish to partake. Free wifi available in the common areas. Would recommend this property to anyone in spite of the late night action.

I stayed in this hostel prior and after my treck to Machu Picchu. The hostel is nice, with an inner space where most of the tourst gather. They have free coca mate to help adjusting to the height and offer lot of services and tours. My stay was very pleasant there. It can get a bit noisy in ground floor...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Pariwana Hostel Cusco lies in a colonial house built in the 16th century. The beauty of our hostel can be compared to any 5-star hotel in the city of Cusco, but with the atmosphere and vibe of our guests and the Pariwana experience. The house has an internal patio surrounded by stone archways in both the first floor and in the balconies of the second floor. Our restaurant and bar-lounge are located in the same salons where Viceroys used to dine with the local nobility. It is said that there is a secret passage between the house and the closest convent. Supposedly, it was built by the last Viceroy, Abascal, as he new his days were counted. Pariwana Cusco is located in the heart of Cuzco’s Historical District: only 2 blocks away from the main plaza (Plaza de Armas). The hostel is surrounded by the typical Cuzco architecture and scenery. It is nearby several restaurants, drugstores and transportation facilities. ... more   less
