This hotel was generally very good, but there are a few points that left a sour taste in the mouth. Maybe we were just unlucky, but I have listed all of the good points we loved as well as the bad so you can make your own mind up. THE GOOD - Good Location - a very short walk from...

This boutique hotel is a little pricey by Peru standards but clean, extremely charming and quiet. It has an inner courtyard with benches, a bench swing and trees and flowers. We spent some restful time there, soaking up the winter sun (Cusco is very cold in the winter) while soothing our various aches and pains. The rooms vary in size...

We had a fine experience at tambo del Arriero Hotel in Cusco. The facility is charming, the staff is helpful. I recommend this hotel. They arranged to pick us up at the airport, so we didn't have to worry about finding a reliable taxi at the airport. Their breakfasts were included, and tasty. They have a restaurant, at which we...

We stayed twice at this boutique hotel during our recent vacation; before and after our visit to Machu Picchu. Our first two nights were on room 101, very spacious room but it is on the first courtyard, right next to the stairs and main entrance, so it can get a bit noisy. The second stay was on room 208, beautiful...

When we arrived in Cusco, we were told that there was a problem with the hotel we had booked and that they were putting us up in a different hotel for the night. I went along with it, but was upset/nervous on the inside. I never book a hotel without reading tons of reviews. I had no idea what was...

Beautiful old hotel with clean, simple rooms and a friendly staff. We felt well cared for here, enjoyed the excellent breakfasts, and already booked a room for a return trip. There was plenty of hot water. Our rooms were cleaned daily and left beautiful. They stored a bag for us during our Inca Trail trip at no cost and they...

Massive room , with heaters (very convenient), Nice bed. Front desk quite kind, , good breakfast. Not spectacular, but very good. WI FI worked uneven, some areas with no coberture. 7 minute walk (downhill) to Plaza de Armas. We did not try the restaurant.

We spent 2 days in the hotel on a "Doble Superior" room, very kind people, excellent breakfast with a lot to choose, clean and nice warm rooms. Room service and all you need. Hope to come back again soon.

Tambo is decently located and quiet, which is important if you are headed to do a challenging trek in the mountains. However the morning receptionist didn't quite have it together (e.g. our boxed breakfast consisted of 4 pieces of bread, which we did not order). Maybe it was the language barrier? They tried to make it up to us the...

Initially stayed in a junior suite on the 2nd floor which was a loft type of room. It was very spacious and had 3 queen-sized beds. The second day, since our reservation wasn't linked, we moved to a junior suite on the 1st floor which was the same room category but without the loft feature. Room was still spacious and...
