I've stayed in many, many hotels around the world, and the Belmont Monastrerio is among the most special. Its historical architecture and significance makes it similar to the fantastic Paradores and Pousadas in Spain and Portugal, respectively, but managed by a private hotel company which Is focused on luxury and service. Great location in the heart of the city. Simply...

While it's easy (-ish) to have a beautiful and "luxurious" property, the service, work ethic of the hotel staff, and efficiency are what set true luxury hotels apart. To us, Belmond Monasterio gets it right across the board. Everyone in this property, from the front desk to housekeeping, to the gardeners and the doorman, couldn't have more pride in their...

Stayed here two nights. Room very comfortable and quite large. No view though. Very old property but modern facilities. Didn't eat in the restaurant but had room service and it was very good. Very good checkin after a long drive was the Sacred Valley to Cusco as the trains had stopped going to Cusco.

This hotel is the most amazing I have ever stayed in. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights as part of a post cruise trip after sailing around The Galapagos Islands. We stayed for 2 nights in The Sacred Valley and arrived at this beautiful hotel nestled in Cusco after a train journey on The Bingham train after a...

Not only are the people extremely accommodating and friendly, the hotel is beautiful and historical. Each room has oxygen circulating to help everyone acclimate to the high elevation. A pisco sour by the roaring fire is a wonderful end of the day. In addition, the morning trip to the market before our cooking class was informative and fun. Arnold the...

My daughter and I spent 6 days at the Monastery and loved every moment. Walking the corridors around the cloister garden, you can imagine the hooded monks walking silently to and fro. Being a former monastery, the hotel has its own attached chapel which is open to guests at all times -even when the street door is barred. Unlike other...

This hotel exceeded all of my expectations. It was hands down the most exquisite place I've ever stayed. Ruth gave us especially great service - she was the best! We will definitely stay here again when we're in Cusco.

When you arrive at hotel Monasterio you are immediately transported to the past. It used to be a monastery and you can still sense it in every single room. Service is impeccable. Cuisine is amongst the best you will find in Cuzco. If you have an early tour, they will prepare lunch boxes for you to take. The rooms are...

Very nice hotel staff! The thing people need to understand about Cusco is it is third world and run down . Most buildings are old and not well maintained. There are beggars on the streets but harmless...this is the nicest hotel in Cuzco , great good, great service but rooms are a little small and it is pricey. The staff...
