The place has seen better days and needs to be refurbished. The room we were provided was musty. My husband walked into the kitchen and the place was a mess with food on the table and on the floor.

The first opinion of the agency this guest contracted, starts: "...piece of the best architecture from the early 70's … remodeled completely in 2005..." Her reservation was in August 2010 and she arrived here in October 2010, enough time to check her bank account. We had to accept against our will because, our usual practice, “her statement that she had...

I flew to from Los Angeles to Lima with my family (their first time to Peru, my third) for my wedding. I couldn’t have asked for better accommodations. This hotel was PERFECT. Not only did Harry (the owner) help keep my family busy while I prepared everything for the big day, he recommended venders for my cake and flowers. He...

We stayed at the hotel twice in April - once when we flew into Lima - for a few days, and then back from our trip up North to Iquitos. Coming back the second time was like coming home. Our young kids felt secure and very much at home. The atmosphere was very welcoming, breakfast was excellent, the location was...

We were on route from Argentina and arrived in Lima very late at night and without a reservation (not smart but an oversight). Most of the accomodations (at least the ones that appeared to be desireable) were booked...not surprisingly, and even more than normal on account of the earthquake in Chile (most of the flights to Santiago were diverted to...

My husband and I spent ten glorious days at Villa Ponciana. It is one of the few places that the lovely pictures on the internet do not do it justice. It is actually lovlier than the photos. The rooms are quite large with small patios and large bathrooms. But the best part is the common rooms--a large room with tables...

We stayed here at the beginning and end of our Peru trip. Harry (the owner) looked after us wonderfully, arranging taxis to and from the airport and suggesting places to visit and recommending restaurants. Villa Ponciana is closer to a bed and breakfast than a "hotel" but we had a nice room with a small outside patio and a private...

We stayed in Villa Ponciana initially one week, where we welcomed by Harry. We were visting for Peru for a wedding, and arrived late, Harry walked with us to a Chinese restaurant, helped us with ordering our food. During our stay, he gave great tips for trips, restaurants and helped ordering taxi's. The girls working in the hotel, made a...

This a just a wonderful home away from home in Lima. Harry is the most energetic, wonderful host. He helped us with plans both in and outside of Lima. He facilitated transport. The house, which he designed (he's an architect) is 60s mod, with little gardens outside all the rooms, a warm open feel in public areas, great food, in...

We stayed here for 2 nights before going to Ica and then again our last night in Peru before returning home. The location is in Miraflores, so quite far from downtown Lima, but in a good area, 2 blocks form a commerical center with banks, large grocery store and other services. The rooms are all different as this has been...

This is a cool place in a cool neighborhood. Owner will have lots of good recommendations for restaurants and museums. The villa is modern and has lots of nooks and crannies and courtyards to explore and relax.
