I know this is my first review but that's because I'm usually to lazy... But for this hostel I have to voice my opinion! First of all the receptionist didn't say hello when we arrived.. Then he forgot to give us the key to our room, the towels and the wifi password... Additionally, we got a room where we couldn't...

With over 10 million inhabitants and daunting traffic jams, Lima is a mind-boggling place for the new visitor. Amidst this ugly sprawl, the Posada del Parque, an elegant former private house in a tree-lined cul-de-sac, is an oasis. Like other small hotels where we have stayed in Latin America, it is a veritable museum of folk art. The collection of...

La Posada is indeed well located on a green cul-de-sac and a pleasant half hour's walk from the Centro. It is charmingly decorated, and Monica, the owner, can be quite helpful when she chooses to be. (Contrary to all the ad copy, she is not by any stretch of the imagination English speaking.) However, the Posada is located right next...

I stayed here about fifteen years ago and thought I'd not have occasion to return. I booked it again for its proximity to the bus terminals, which are a ten minute walk away. With a late night flight arrival and early bus departure, it seemed convenient. The public spaces are attractive enough, although well worn and the setting is a...

On arrival we were put in one of the small dingy rooms out the back of the hotel which looked nothing like all the photos that were online. It was clean but for some reason the room smelt of smoke. We were given a plastic garden chair in the room and there was not enough room to put your legs...

For our first night in Lima, we booked a night in La Posada del Parque. The bedrooms are confortable and clean. You can take the breakfast here, and for the others meals, there are some local restaurants in the surroundings. You can book a pick up, from airport, with the hotel. And the team is friendly.

We arranged airport pickup and return, which at $18 US each was better than the standard Green Cab price, and the excellent driver had a new car with seatbelts! Payment up front in cash was required, but since this was the end of our trip we had the soles. The art on display in the shared rooms was wonderful. Some...

We arrived at midnight after a 20 hours of travel, the man that greeted us was nice and friendly. Paid up front like others have, then shown our room... outside the actual building on the front porch, smelt musty but was nice, I mean I wasn't paying that much so didn't expect luxury... you get what you pay for. One...

Went there with my girlfriend. Staff is nice and helpful. Location is quite and close to some museums and parcs. The rooms are expensive, small, really basic and you hear everyone around you. Wouldn't stay there again.

Our family of four spent two nights-- one as we arrived on a late flight to Lima, and another when we were heading back out, and on both occasions the Posada del Parque helped us catch our breath in the frantic planes-and-taxis moments of arrival and departure. The staff arranged airport pick-up the first night, which was helpful, and the...
