Yes, it is too expensive. However, in this village everything is above market. The rooms are ok (we had two double rooms) and spacious. Clean. The toilet also ok. The staff is helpful and fully understands the needs of guests who usually comes for 1 short night. They prepare a breakfast box for take away very early in the morning...

The hostal is well located on one of the main roads - about five minutes to the bus station. Wifi works well and the shower was warm. Rooms are well cleaned. However, sleep quality was rather bad due to the poor sound isolation (a big drawback in a tourist/party city such as aguas calientes). The staff is friendly and gives...

We were a little worried about this place after reading bad TA reviews, but the room was quite clean and spacious. The location was excellent (although Aguas Calitenes is a small town so everywhere would be quite central). The hotel even provided us with packed breakfast on the day we visited Machu Picchu. So I was ready to write a...

The rooms are quite simple, but they are perfect to sleep for one night or two to visit MaPi. When you want to get up early to be one of the first at the ruins the nice owner gives you...

We chose this hostal (in South America they call hotels and hostels in this manner) according to two reasons. First was its proximity to the train station and Machu Picchu bus stop. Second were more or less favorable reviews of him at Booking.com, through which we booked the hostal. In two of three reviews its authors gave to the hostal...

The bedding was damp and there was no hot water. I saw a rat running up the stairs. I ordered breakfast but there was nobody around in the morning and there was no bell to ring for attention. I left for Machu Picchu without breakfast! I gave it one star for its convenience to the station, 5 minutes walk.
