We stayed 2 nights with our family of four. The location in Ollantaytambo is wonderful - quietly tucked away on a pedestrian walk right outside the ruins, a block from the main square and a 5-7 minute walk to the train station.

We stayed one night on our way to Machu Picchu. The location is outstanding, right next to the Ollantaytambo ruins. It was nice and clean, well decorated, and the lady running it was very cheerful and helpful. Our room upstairs (31) was a quadruple (four...More
We stayed for two nights in April, only because we had pre booked the hotel . We should have left after the first night. There was not hot water, when we asked about it they said maybe it would come on at night!!

Hi - We will be at Machupicchu at the end of December. We are taking a train from Cusco to Machupicchu, but are looking for alternative modes of travel for our return trip to Cusco on December 26. We would like to stop in Ollanta that night. How would we purchase train tickets from Machupicchu to Ollanta? After our day (December 27) in Ollanta we would like to take a bus or car/van to Cusco or perhaps other locations. Is this something you could advise us on? Thanks - Joel Heinz

Forgot to add that the Kuychi Punku Hostal in Ollantaytambo is a good place to stay - see a review I did earlier this year.

"Rooms in the old part of the hotel are charming and really add to the experience of staying in Ollantaytambo."
