The place was o.k. This is the town to stay in where you pick up the train for the trip to Machu Picchu. The hotel was about a 10 minute or so walk from the train. About 5 minutes from the town square where most of the restaurants are. The hotel does not have a lot of bells and whistles....

We only stayed one night before the Inca Trail, but I would have loved to stay longer. The hotel is hidden behind a wall, but when you enter, the gardens; water feature; the buildings themselves are gorgeous! Our room had amazing views of more gardens & the montains. I couldn't have been happier. The log fire in the sitting area...

My wife and I travel a great deal, and although I have never before submitted a negative review of any of the many hotels we have stayed in, I must make an exception in the case of Hotel Samanapaq in Ollantaytambo, Peru. Over the years, our lodgings have ranged from modest to luxurious, and we are not especially critical. But...

Dear Mr: We regret the experience that you and your friends had with us, but I would pass on to detail what happened. For the day March 15, the Hotel had multiple reservations under different names, most of them made through Expedia. For the day March 16 the Hotel had no availability. On March 14, you and your companions, arrived...

Stayed here one night after a Sacred Valley tour before heading out for Machu Picchu. The town Olly itself is tiny but really quaint and we were glad we decided to stay the night. This place fits right in to Olly's overall vibe. Pros: Beautiful grounds (with hammocks for relaxing)/ great communal lounge area In room heaters (great for the...

Our cozy, extended stay at the Samanapaq hotel included a comfortable room with a lovely view of the mountains. Entering the property, you are greeted by the soft sound of running water. Ample breakfasts included fresh fruit, many types of bread, cheese and meats, eggs, coffee and tea, several juices, in a comfortable setting. Office and housekeeping staff were extremely...

My package holiday included a night at the Samanapaq hotel. It offered me the best night's sleep I had while in Peru; it's in a quiet location and the rooms are comfy. The staff were friendly and helpful beyond the norm, the breakfast great, and the private garden is lovely.

I echo the reviews here. Place has a homely B&B feel. However, it's a bit off the main square which makes it hard to get meals or transport. Rooms were clean but dated. Staff was helpful but not super enthusiastic (lady was). Breakfast area is lovely but choices are few. I would stay here if I cannot afford the Pakaritampu.

I booked this hotel online and there was a problem with the booking price, the hotel contacted me and made all possible to get it sorted. They also organised pickup at the train station for a fair price. Very good breakfast, short walk to the main square, nice gardens. Stayed in bedroom 8. The bedroom is not very big, but...

What a lovely place to stay at the end of the Sacred Valley and before going on to Aqua Calientes. When dropped off at the whole in the wall entrance one wondered where one was going. However inside was a different atmosphere. The grounds are delightful and the lounges spacious. The rooms are pleasant if somewhat lacking in what are...

This is a great place to stay. The breakfast is great - one of the best we've had in Peru. The owner is very friendly and staff is very helpful. There are beatiful grounds and several different common areas to hang out and relax. The room was very clean. The only negative is that the wifi doesn't work in the...
