Spent two nights at CdW. B&B is funky and owner (Winn) is a character and very informative on where to eat and what to do, CdeW hosts were helpful, breakfast was good and the B&B was quiet. Minor hot water glitch (none) when the propane ran out but Winn remedied quickly. Ollantaytambo is a great place to do a walkabout...

Casa de Wow was one of my very first hostels in Peru, and I have to say, it spoiled me for the rest of my trip. Winn, the owner, is wonderful and helpful and makes you feel right at home, just like you would hope for in a hostel. After a long, long day of Machu Picchu and very little...

My husband and I stayed at Casa de Wow after arriving from Agra Calientes/hiking Macho Pichu so we were pretty tired and appreciated the comfy bed. It was clean and there was a hot shower. We were greeted by a friendly staff member who helped us figure out where to eat (it was late so many places were closed). We...

Comfortable beds, great breakfast, hot showers and very helpful hosts. This hostel represents the best of why you should stay at a hostel. Win provided a ton of information about Ollantaytambo and the surrounding area. She was able to suggest several side trips which added immensely to our experiencing all the Sacred Valley has to offer. In addition she is...

Ideally located in the old typical village of Ollantaytambo, Casa de Wow was a real find in our journey through Peru. Lovely rooms, great breakfast, hot showers and a wonderful host, Winn, whose kindness and helpfulness went a long way towards making our stay here our favorite stop. I would especially recommend this place to long-term travelers who enjoy taking...

This was by far the nicest place we stayed in our month in South America. The room we stayed in was clean, comfortable and uniquely decorated. The welcome we received was superb and the breakfast was delicious. We even made use of the kitchen facilities one evening to cook our own food to save some money.

We were glad that we chose to stay in Ollantaytambo instead of Urubamba, and chose Casa de Wow!!! We stayed here in May for three nights. Winn, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. She made you feel really home. She provided a well-drawn map of Ollantay clearly listing all the useful information you need and she made taxi arrangements...

I spent 3 nights there and they have been by far my most comfortable and enjoyable nights in Peru. Being my first time ever staying in a hostel, I was a little weary. But, this hostel was better than some hotels I have stayed at. Not only was is super clean and comfortable, but the owner was extremely friendly and...

We spent 8 nights at Casa de Wow!!! and left feeling as if we hadn't stayed long enough! It was that good :) It is very comfortable and inviting, a true home away from home. We had a 4 bunk room with shared bath - which was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids (both age 10)....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Best of Both Worlds is what you get at Casa de Wow!!! Created by Winn and Wow - a North American woman (Atlanta, GA & Asheville, NC) and a South American man (Ollantaytambo) - one might call Casa de Wow!!! a cultural bridge providing its guests with a unique and enriching experience. The comfort and luxuries of the North are combined with the relaxed down-to-earth atmosphere of Peru, in particular the tranquility of Ollantaytambo and the creativity of Wow, who is an incredible artist (thus the nickname). So come join us..... and relax, as you sit atop our eucalyptus benches listening to the running waters of the Inkan aqueducts while you marvel at the stunning view of the ancient Inkan monuments. The location of our Casa is ideally situated on a cobblestone pedestrian street in the "old town" section of Ollantaytambo, just five minutes from the Plaza and all attractions. In the morning, enjoy a tasty breakfast including local organic jams. During the day, we'd be happy to help you organize unique excursions to magical local sites that are off the beaten path. In the evening, enjoy a cup of warm tea from our kitchen, watch a DVD in our cozy living room or gaze at the stars from our rooftop nook. Finally, retire to our beautiful and traditional Wow-crafted beds for a good night's sleep. Once you've stayed with us you will know why we're called "Casa de Wow!!!" ... more   less
