I highly recommend Hotel Sol a beautiful quaint hotel in the middle of the gorgeous town of Ollytaytambo. Front the moment we walked in, the lovely Wilbur who spoke such good English made us feel so welcome and could not do enough for us. We had room 204 a beautiful comfortable room with a nice bed. The wifi is patchy...

Ollantaytambo is a fun place to visit en route to Machu Pichu. Hotel Sol is a place to stay before you take the train. Boutique hotel it is not. Be very clear on that fact! Beds were bad, bathroom was modern in that it had running water, but barely warm in the early chilly morning of the high Andes. The...

This hotel wasn't planned, but was a Godsend as a place to stay between Cusco and MP to get out of Cusco before farmers protests. Their service was fine, we stayed only one night. So we didn't have occasion to really experience it. The rooms were fairly clean, but overwhelmed with the smell of toilet bowl cleaner and chemicals. That...

This hotel just barely makes 3 dots for me. On the plus side, the location, half-way between the ruins (2 blocks) and main square (2 blocks), and up the river from the train station (10+ minute walk down, cheap tuk-tuk ride up), is ideal. The property is also kept clean and the bright painting makes it visually appealing. Rooms overlooking...

No A/C but it was not necessary.Location close to town 5 minute walk. Also near where the bus is to Machu Pichu. Breakfast average. On my day of departure Lucio volunteer to take our luggage...

My husband and I spent three nights at this hotel at the start of our two week vacation. The location is excellent just a minute from town square and all the best restaurants, if not within the same block, a five minute (tops) walk. The rooms are basic, but clean and spacious. The bathroom has the basic amenities and you...

I will highly recommend Hotel Sol during your stay in Ollantaytambo. The balcony rooms overlook the Ollantaytambo Ruins, and the river below. The location is wonderful, a quick walk to the Center Square for restaurants and shopping and close t explore the Ruins. This is the town you MUST stay in to acclimate before going into Cusco and doing the...

Last minute booking due to a sudden change in plans. Very basic hotel. No TV in room and very basic setting. At USD$100.00 a night I expected a bit more. The bed was comfortable though and they offer a continental breakfast. Nice view from our terrace though of the ruins. Very close to the main square.

Loved this hotel, great beds and linens, clean bathrooms, and a fabulous courtyard with flowers. The service was excellent and accommodating to our changing needs. We all agreed that we got our best night of sleep here. Would stay here again!
