El Albergue is a delightful place to be. My family simply did not want to leave. Wonderful position with a view of the fortress and the looming mountains, gardens lush with flowers, rabbits, pigs (Guinea and not), and Alpacas to drive my kids crazy.

We did a tour to the Sacred Valley from Cusco then we asked to be dropped off in Ollantaytambo after. But you can also book online for a taxi for USD 35, that’s was what we paid for to get back to Cusco after Machu Picchu.
