The folks at Apu Lodge were so very helpful, allowed up to practice our Spanish and also provided a great driver to pick us up in up in Cuzco and drive us to the sites. The Lodge has good views, is off the main streets, is quiet and has a nice view of Ollyantaytambo ruins. As well, their breakfasts were... More

We are so pleased to see your review, and that you enjoyed your stay, the beautiful views and healthy breakfasts at our peaceful haven here in Ollantaytambo. We are also serving dinner. Roni is a great taxi driver we have been working with for years, along with a couple of other trusted drivers. We are delighted that you enjoyed your... More

We loved this truly enchanting hotel where we stayed for 2 nights. This allowed us to spend a whole day in this small fascinating town to explore the ruins of Ollantaytambo in the early morning before the tourist buses arrived, then to relax in the town. Apu Lodge has a superb setting - nearby trees and view over to the... More

A beautiful place located away from the main square (but is walk-able though). Our driver helped carry our luggage. We stayed here for three nights. The rooms were clean and comfortable with nice view of the garden and surrounding mountains. The garden is a lovely place to relax and unwind (had hammocks too!!). The staff members were all so friendly... More

We stayed for two nights and enjoyed the lodge grounds (garden and outdoor furniture for relaxing) and beautiful views. We communicated many times with the staff before arriving for taxi and other arrangements and they always responded promptly. Taxis cannot drive up to the lodge, so you need to make arrangements with the lodge to bring your luggage from the... More

Pros: Complete tranquility in the garden (incl 3 hammocks). Quiet as it's 6 very small blocks from the main plaza. Beer & wine for sale & filtered water for free on site. 2nd floor rooms have stunning views of Inca ruins. Cons: Wifi only in reception area. Bring a 3 prong to 2 prong electrical adapter if you need one,... More

Thanks for your review and your recommendation to bring an adaptor. We have a couple at reception, but sometimes they are in use by other guests or go walkabout. Some of the rooms have wifi, so guests can let us know in advance if they prefer a room with wifi. We are working on extending this to more rooms. I... More

My husband and I stayed for a couple of nights in September. We loved the lodge. It had everything we wanted. It is on the old town - quiet and up a street not accessible to cars. There is a beautiful garden, wonderful views - so you can choose your time to go to the sights and avoid the tourist... More

We stayed at the Apu Lodge for four nights and used it as our base for our visiting Machu Picchu. They had an early breakfast ready for us, since we had to leave by 5:00AM to catch the train. Extremely helpful staff arranged for massages after our grueling hikes. Hammocks in the garden. Good hot showers. Ollaytaytambo, is a wonderful... More

We stayed for 4 nights in the family suite and enjoyed wonderful views over the town and ruins. We found Apu Lodge to be a quiet and serene location to spend some time in the Sacred Valley. I stayed at Apu Lodge for three nights. All the front-desk staff were very helpful and enthusiastic and it was fun just to chat with them and get their tips on things to do in Ollantaytambo or the Sacred Valley. We asked for a second floor room with a view of the ruins, and we really scored! Based on the manager's recomendation, we visited them early in the morning, and missed what he called "Inca Disney" when the tour buses arrived. Also, the Apu is situated right below Inca granaries, so we hiked to these ruins as well. The staff... More
