Chris, Rhomina and Melissa are sinply fantastic peole. Above their local knowledge, excellence in English, French in Spanish, great food, quality value rooms, cool pub and gardens, is first and foremost their hospitality. Do NOT avoid when in Peru!

Our visit to La Capillary Lodge was made fabulous by the beautiful landscape, delicious food and drinks, but mostly by the host Chris, his family, employees and pets! Chris arranged our trip to Machu Picchu and a day trip exploring Sacred Valley! BTW, they are expanding their services to include a yoga room!

This is a small property about 10 minutes' drive outside Urubamba. It's well-organised and comfortable, and is good value, especially if staying on-site for an evening meal. The owners are very hospitable and the lounge/pub area is a great place to relax. Transport in the area is not difficult to come by and they were more than happy to organise...

I had seen the pictures and reviews of La Capilla Lodge, but upon arriving there it only surpassed my expectations. Beautiful tranquil gardens. Away from the hustle of the town. Hikes on the door step. Brilliant fast wifi (fasted I had experienced in my three months of travelling South America prior). Great full breakfast. Yummy restaurant with tasty home cooked...

This is a lovely spot in the country between Urubamba and Ollantaytambo. The building and surrounding gardens are charming. We were warmly greeted by the lovely Melissa who proceeded to make a wonderful Pisco sour. We all enjoyed our dinner. Our triple room was spacious and had some nice handicrafts. I would have preferred tile or wooden floors but the...

A relaxed, wonderful welcome and an unforgettable experience. Christophe and Rhomina have created something really special in the most beautiful of surroundings. Perfect location to explore the sacred valley with ease. "Going the extra mile" doesn't do justice to how much their guests are taken care of during their stay but also extending long beyond for your next step, arranging...

Stayed here after a long, tiring mission project. The lodge and every single thing about it was more than wonderful! The rooms were spacious and clean, beds comfortable, showers hot! Grounds are gorgeous. Beautiful flowers, many sitting areas, cute kittens, as well as a beautiful friendly dog! We had a luncheon of trout, as well as the best guacamole I've...

I chose to stay here for my trip to Machu Picchu as I didn't want to commute all the way from Cusco. Urubamba is a good 20 min drive to the Ollantaytambo station where we took the train to Machu Picchu. Transportation - Chris and his family are wonderful hosts and very friendly. Honestly, I can't say enough about La Capilla or Chris, the proprietor. Both were outstanding. They offer rides from the airport, which made landing in a foreign country and not knowing quite how to navigate, yet, much easier. Someone was there to greet us and take us to the Lodge. When we arrived, we were amazed by the lovely garden...
