I need to come fast at Montevideo , and try to find some hotel nearest the downtown , with good price , and I found the London Palace , that are a old hotel , but the room are reasonable , but the noise outside the room is very inconvenient , because the window is not soundproof , and the...

I´m in total agreement with the great reviews this hotel has received. I might want to add that in the morning their cafe con leche is excellant. I usually have breakfast around eight, do some errands and return around 10AM before they close for some pastry. Their coffee is very dark and the leche is very hot. I´m ready to...

The hotel is very good, staff is kind, excellent breakfast. Location even better, you can walk to the best place in Montevideo. The room is ok for what's offered. That's defenetely my hotel when I go to Montevideo. The only complain is that they're awful in responding mails. You send, send, send, and it's hard to get a response. Also,...

This hotel is located in downtown Montevideo, close to Plaza Independencia and 18 de Julio avenue (just one block from hotel). Even though it is an old building, the rooms are clean, beds are confy and the front desk is very friendly. Overall this is a good deal if you want to have a good perspective about the city. I...

The Internet connection is worse than in other hotels in Uruguay. The only time in the day when it's possible to hold a Skype call is during the morning; later it's simply impossible. During the morning the speed of browsing is decent; later it's at times be pretty slow. Also they have this idiotic system where after connecting to the...

It's a bit dated but clean and well-located, 2 blocks off the avenue. Good breakfast, friendly staff, good comfortable bed and functional bathroom. We had sketchy WIFI on the 6th floor 20 feet from router, for $100 usd, nice deal.

Very neat and clean rooms. Staff are extremely helpful and very friendly... from the reception desk to the cleaning staff! The buffet breakfast was UNBELIEVABLE. They had an amazing range of finger foods, jams and pastries. I would highly recommend staying here.

The “50 or 60 year old elevator” is exactly what makes the London Palace so great. It fits the style of the hotel (dark wood/bronze fittings) and the style of the city – that is old-fashioned and not brash. Yes, you can hear the guests in the next room (through the bathroom vent) – but it was in castellano –...

Whilst the hotel is a little dated it's clean and the service is good. The buffet breakfast is a bit crazy but only because the hotel is so busy. It was great for a one night stay in Montevideo. Reception staff were excellent.

The old elevator is surely an atraction to be visited at Montevideo. The Hotel is old 1920 years style, let´s say "vintage". The "underestaffed staff" was nice, but overweighted of work, all of them where running up and down. Breakfast was very rich. The bad side was the connectind doors between rooms, I was able to liste EVERYTHING the other...
