We've just arrived back from our 8 night stay at Tropical Sands, we stayed in the Manutai Ocean Beach Studio. Our transport to and from the airport was organised (we arrived at 1am, and had to leave at 1130pm), our room was all ready for us when we arrived, no hassles at all. While you can't swim on the beach,... More

I spent 8 nights here and found it to be tranquil and private. I was in villa 5 which had a raised balcony right on the beach. If i fell of the balcony i would have landed on the beach. It is on the sunrise side of the island and waking up with the sun streaming in every morning was a... More

We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin. Very clean and tidy and had everything you need. Great hosts that helped with all aspects of our visit to The Cook Islands. Lovely location great to be able to stroll along the water's edge. Island shuttle bus takes you to where ever you need to go to or ask hosts and they... More

We stayed at Tropical Sands for 9 nights during July this year. The place is perfect if you don't want to stay in a resort with a tone of other people. The beach out the front is almost deserted and a great place to watch the hermit crabs. You cant swim or snorkel there, but Muri is a 3 minute... More

Tropical Sands is a paradies! We stood there for 2 weeks and wished we would have booked for a longer stay. The bungalow is very well equipped, nothing was missing even for a longer stay, the mattresses have been very comfortable, so that we slept extremely well. Everything inside the house and outside in the garden and at the beach... More

To start off, we chose the Cook Islands as our honeymoon for one reason: remote. This quality was very important to us as we wanted something untouched and special that not everyone gets to see. As such, we wanted to stay at a hotel that could allow us to feel close to nature without being constrained by modern comforts. Welcome... More

Unit 1 is right at the front, on the beach. The reef is very close here (3.0km north of Muri) and the waves really crash along. And in whale migration season, August, they are just there, really close. The remaining units sit back, and look at the sea alongside or past unit 1. Unit 1 ADSL has a really protected... More

Beautiful grounds and clean bungalows. An easy bus ride to town or to the sandy beaches (the beach here is rocky and shallow but great for observing wildlife.) Lots of little markets near by and having the kitchen is a real plus. Rooms are airy and we loved hanging out on the lanai. Rudy and Kanoe arranged for our transport... More

I stayed at Tropical Sands for a short week in November, and it was really nice! The hosts, Rudy and Kanoe, are warm welcoming people with time to spare to chat and give you tips about things to do on the island. On thursdays, Rudy plays at the Shipwreck Hut on the western side of the island, a must see!... More

We came and had a lovely stay at the Tropical Sands in November. A lovely villa right on the beach, so peaceful and tranquil. Everything you could need for a restful and relaxing break. The hosts Rudy and Kanoe were great. Loved the artwork in and around the buildings, and the talks and on our last night we were treated... More
