***Location - First (and prolly the biggest) hurdle is logistics. The resort is a good hour from the airport. Thankfully once you get past the first 15 mins(city limits), there's barely much traffic and just beautiful vistas. People are very warm. Airport has money exchange after baggage claim and from recent reviews, good rate and def. way better than offered by the resort(normally the case). Get cash for snorkeling tours, massage sessions and souvenir shopping outside the resort. Hail a cab outside arrivals. Haggle the price depending on your itinerary. Going rate was 90-120 FJD, with one detour(snack/booze shopping - RB Patel, Nadi market or a gas station convivence store). Got some juice and snacks. One way vs round trip impacts the final price. Get their whatsapp number for return. We got a gem of a person, PM if you want his contact. **Check in: Was offered a welcome drink as soon as you arrive. And the sea shell necklace: ) Walk further down the giant corridor to the check in area. Arrived early, so naturally the room wasn't ready. They text/call when room's ready. No lounge access offered. Couldn't add either. Sounded like 'only at the time of booking' option. Or maybe its only for diamonds. Resort has a no cash policy. They put a hold on your CC at check in for all incidentals including dining(450FJD?/day). Tip: Skip the rest room on the main level (behind the luggage desk). Its small, hot and not the cleanest. Instead go down one level, to the ones adjacent to Sanasana restaurant. You're welcome :) **Room Got upgraded to lagoon access. Beautiful room. Watching goats chilling on the beach on the adjacent island was very entertaining :) Only improvement - Wish they had more bottles of water in the room, the bottles provided were tiny. Oh well. Also, the property is sprawling, so taking the golf cart/buggy was a matter of when vs if. And they were easy to hail and fun to ride. **Breakfast: Breakfast at Sanasana was one of the highlights. Lots of options and smiles everywhere. Fresh juice was so good. And birds. Many chilling around, doing their thing. Shout out to all the staff. **Area: (all directions are facing the ocean) Beautiful beach. Thanks to the tide, you can walk in pretty far(west). Sun's harsh, so sunscreen is a must. To the East, the beach is sprinkled with little massage shacks run by locals. Wish they had restaurants to sample local cuisines. Massage prices were reasonable compared to west/resort prices(as expected). Think an hour was 50-60FJD. Quality - amateur, 5-6. First session was def. better. There were also locals operating boat/snorkeling tours. Didn't care much, as the goal was relax on beach trip. Note: the "entrepreneurs" hang out by the edge of the resort canvassing guests. Wasn't too in your face in the beginning, but grows old fast. **Night - Fire ceremony + live music - enough praised already. Worth every minute. ***Kava ceremony - read a lot about it in the reviews, but missed it during the stay. Not sure if its discontinued or only on certain days. Worked out for the best giving a reason to check out the local market during return. **Souvenir - checked out a couple of local shops downtown, before heading back to jacks of Fiji for quality. Overall - Staff - A+ Location - B+ Housekeeping - A- Room - A+ Food - A- Vinaka my Fijian brothers and sisters!

What a special place. We were lucky enough to spend 10 wonderful nights with “Family” at the Intercontinental Golf resort and Spa Fiji. The stand out as always in Fiji is the warmth in which the Fijians welcome you as “Family” and genuinely engage with you, at the Intercontinental Golf resort and Spa it’s another level of friendliness in wanting to make your stay special, you cannot fake this. Our room was very nice, a bit close to central facilities were functions are held at night noise wise but otherwise very good, clean tidy and servicing was exceptional. All our dining experiences were very good with service again excellent, Special mention to the team at Navo Restaurant, pretty special dining experience we had and well worth the money. Intercontinental’s reputation of quality and service was represented on our visit at the highest level.

We had a fabulous stay at the Intercontinental Fiji. We booked a king, lagoon view room but were upgraded to a lagoon access. The room was beautiful with a delightful view of the lagoon, an outdoor soaker tub, and easy walkout to the water. The room was well equipped and was one of the largest we've ever had, besides suites. The best thing about this hotel, besides it's gorgeous beach front location, was the staff. The Fijian people are so friendly and helpful, all the time. We quickly learned to be on "Fiji Time" but this did not affect the service at this hotel. We arrived early in the am after our early flight and they got us checked in to a room well ahead of schedule. As a couple we spent most of our time at the adults only pool which was in a great location with plenty of shade. The family pool was also beautiful we just had no need to use it. We had pool service drinks and food from Toba and were able to scan a QR code chair side to have the food delivered. We enjoyed the beach, with a large sandbar and area to explore at low tide. The reef is easily accessible from the beach and the snorkeling is terrific. We also booked the snorkel boat and used the water sports area to book a jet ski tour which was a blast. The food was good. Do not miss Navo restaurant. We had breakfast there every day, coffee waterside was the best (Yes this is included as the free breakfast). We also had two dinners there and they were delicious with excellent service. Toba was our next go to for snacks with a pretty large menu including both ethnic and western meals. Our least favorite venu was the buffet restaurant. It was away from the coast and so away from the breeze and just too asian based for our tastes. Kava lounge made good drinks and there was evening entertainment each night. The only part of our stay that was not five star was the timing of housekeeping. They just got to our room too late on a couple of days, we had already returned and were resting/dressing for dinner. Our house keeper was incredibly nice and helpful, just maybe had too many rooms for her timing. They clean and do turn down service so a couple of days we just had turn down. This was really not important to us though. House keeping left FIji water every day and we supplemented with a purchase from the shop. We had no need for cash at all at the resort, everything was charged to our room. We did use cash, as we're American and like to tip. If you're considering staying here, do it We booked our own airport transfers. We also walked down the beach a bit and had messages by locals and rode the horses. The hotel discourages this and keeps close eye on the villagers but we enjoyed interacting with them.

From the moment we arrived at the resort our experience was nothing but superb. The room we were allocated was perfect, clean, comfortable, large, well equipped and always lovely and cool. All of the staff are the friendliest people I have ever encountered on any of my international travels. The service was just sublime. Nothing was to much trouble. There is a good selection of restaurants to choose from and the food was great as well as all of the entertainment. By far the highlight of our stay was the 3 hour jetski tour. We were greeted by our guide Abbo and from the very first minute he was just amazing. He made the tour super fun and exciting. He was full of knowledge about his surroundings and shared so much of this local knowledge with us with us. 3 hours flew past because we were just having the best time, we could have carried on all day and were disappointed when it was over. He took the most amazing photos and video clips for us, memories we will cherish forever. We indulged in a couples package at the resort Spa which was divine, we felt pampered and spoilt. There is no doubt that we will be back again in the near future.

Gorgeous property, decent food and great staff! The only thing I didn’t care for was how the staff always seemed to expect a tip and were visibly upset and offended when they didn’t get one. As a cashless resort we didn’t have any so it made it awkward. Otherwise we really enjoyed the property. There was great snorkeling at low tide right off the beach and even crab hunting for the afternoon crab races. Great for adults and kids!

This resort was amazing from the moment we arrived. You never know what to expect when arriving at a new place. We were greeted with a traditional Fijian band and choice of cocktail before we even got to the reception desk, surrounded by beautiful views. We were transported to our room by golf buggy. Our room - upstairs beachfront view 2223 was amazing - we walked in and were wowed by the view of the lagoon and the spaciousness of the room. It was stylishly appointed with a lot of room. King size bed with great bedding - so you don't even feel your partner move in the middle of the night - excellent pillows. The services at the hotel are fantastic - you can do as much or as little as you want - choice of the adults only pool the very big kids pool, a decent gym - not huge but all the equipment you need and you can even book private pilates or boxing classes for free. There is a volleyball court and mini golf, snorkelling and a range of paid water activities if you want them. You can also walk out into the lagoon as the water level is very low. The food was great, the drinks a bit on the expensive side but there are reasonable food options for cheaper budgets at Toba by the pool and you can save on the buffet by going before 6:30pm at Sanasana. We were just two adults, so we were able to enjoy breakfast at the fine dining restaurant Navo instead of the main dining room which we did for about 5 of our 10 breakfasts. This was included in our room rate. On top of this, the service was fantastic, the people were so friendly and genuinely cared about providing a great service. It is a beautiful place to be and the sunsets were incredible. I would highly recommend and we hope to come back someday!

We just returned from our 2 days of stay at this beautiful resort. Arrival It was absolutely amazing, and I would say a grand welcome, I personally loved Mosese's energy,he was so lively, and the serenader was just outstanding. The lovely lady served our welcome drink, and we straight up headed for our check-in. Kiti was wonderful and was definitely patient with my kids. She gave my son a welcome book with coloring pencils whilst engaging with us. Check-in was seamless and was very fast. Mosese took us to our lovely room,I was so amazed seeing the room and a beautiful welcome card by our room maid,Sainiana N. Since it was raining, we ordered room services and headed to the pool as soon as the rain stopped. One thing that won my heart was that although we are locals, the treatment we received from the staff was just WOW,they made us feel very special in all aspects. We went for dinner at Toba restaurant the food was lovely, Adi was outstanding,l her service was too good. Loved the fact that staff knew our names. We felt like we were amongst family. Reijieli, the restaurant manager she was absolutely amazing. The next morning, we went to sanasana for the buffet breakfast, and it was the best,Vatemo was very efficient with the services. For lunch again we were at the toba restaurant, where we met Jone he was super friendly. For dinner, we went to the fijian buffet, we celebrated my son Zaydens' 4th birthday, and the staff sang a beautiful birthday song. Although my son was acting up, they were so patient. We checked out on Sunday morning, and I was so upset, like it's said "happy moments passes in a jiffy." it was a beautiful stay, and everything seemed so beautiful. We will definitely come back to this beautiful paradise.

My husband and I went for a 10 day golfing holiday at the Intercontinental Fiji in April 2023. On the second night we both had the fettuccini marina, within 2 hrs i had the worst reaction with food poisoning. Spent the next 4 days in bed. My husband tried the fettuccini marina while I was bed ridden and thought it must have been something I had for lunch. He also was struck down with food poisoning and spent the next 5 days in bed. Our golf holiday was cut to 2 days instead of 10. A lot of money spent on the most expensive king ocean front room and all we got was the refund of our 2 meals. We are going to give them one more try in June 2024 as the golf course was magnificent. We will be very cautious about what we eat.

Stayed for five nights in a garden view room with my family. This was a gorgeous place to stay - beautiful gardens, a couple of nice pools, everything lush and tropical. The staff were lovely, we were welcomed upon arrival with a shell necklace and drink and they were always friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance. The room was clean and well-maintained; we had breakfast buffet included in our accommodation package and it was well-stocked with plenty of delicious options to eat and drink. They organised a lot of fun activities for the children to participate in. Overall a great place to stay for a family holiday, plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained and lovely people working there. Vinaka!
