I stayed at the Te Amo Hostel only one night. I would recommend it only for one night as it is a very, very basic hostel. There was only a bottom sheet on my bunk bed, a barely adequate shower, no air-conditioning working but a simple electric fan which provided some relief from the heat and humidity. No breakfast was...

Papeete is a very expensive place to stay and go out so this is a real find. Not luxurious but it is clean, tidy and the staff rteally are great. We stayed for five nights - most rooms are shared. The great thing is that the other guests are real travellers and not there to pose in a smart hotel....

Must say it was 20 years since we stayed but from the reviews it doesn't sound like it has changed. If TripAdvisor had existed back then we wouldn't have gone near the place. Our room was next to the dormitory and was a cocroach run and boy were they big ones. The actual nest was just above our shower and...

We stayed in this hostel for one night. The owner is very nice and kind! He will welcome you and ake any occasion to have a chat with yu. The room was clean and the price perfectly reasonable. Very good position, near the Papeete city centre. Absolutely recommendend.

I stayed at the Teamo Hostel/Pension 3 times during my trip to Tahiti. On the third occasion, the owner barged into my room, accused me (falsely) of turning on the air-conditioning and began to abuse my verbally. I was extremely shocked and calmly explained that this was impossible, since guests do not have access to the remote controller for the...

I paid for 4 nights but requested a refund after 2 nights for my remaining nights. There are enough mosquitoes in the rooms to infect you with Dengue fever. I probably had 50 bites all over my body in the middle of the night. Installing screens in the windows would be a good start. The owners are too cheap to...

The hostel is quit - that is the only nice thing I can say. The owner is very suspicious: I did not get a key, only get a blanket on request. the place is dark and dull. the matraze are horribly old and worn out. There was only on nice one a little upstairs in the dorm, I was not...

Stayed in the dorm room for 1 night only. Location: aprox 10 minutes drive from the airport (taxis charge an outrageous 1,500-2000 for that - so share with others) and a 5 minute walk, from the ferry port. If you're travelling onwards to nearby islands, then try to make most of the morning market and Carrefour here for supplies, first....
