Tahiti is not the place for the mainstream-adjusted tourist and neither is Fare Suisse. If you wish to get a perfect ticket into the world of Papeete, the islands or Tahiti as a whole, try Fare Suisse. I found the place very individualized, very competent, very clean and very friendly. Furthermore, you get a very outbalanced "value for money" stay:...

We stayed at Fare Suisse the night before a cruise in January 2012. On the plus side, the 85 euros/night (about $111) for the two of us included pick-up at the airport and delivery to the ship the next day, which is a real plus. While the van was cramped with four of us who arrived on the same flight...

... Specially if you are travelling as a couple and need a budget accommodation in Papeete. They have a very confortable dorm room with 3 large double beds that can be used by couples each. The hotel is clean in decoration and tidyness. Very quiet, beautiful location close to the center of Papeete. I definitely recommend it!

We were picked up at the airport by Beni, I think he is the owner of Fare Suisse. We booked a private room with en suite bath at this small property. The room was a pretty good size, clean, nice modern bathroom. No tv, no shampoo nor hairdryers (ladies come prepared! Shampoo is not cheap in French Polynesia, not much...

My husband and I spent one night here before flying to Bora Bora on honeymoon. The rooms are comfortable and clean, great bed, fabulous shower. Breakfast was served on the lovely terrace and was beautiful and simple. The manager does free transfers to and from the airport which represents a significant saving. This is the perfect place to stay if...

This was the best find on Trip Advisor for our Tahitian vacation. We arrived from LA at 7:30pm and were leaving the next morning on the ferry for Moorea. Beni picked our group up at the airport and took us to the ferry the next day. It was SO nice to have all of the transportation included in our stay...

Within walking distance of the waterfront and downtown Tahiti, Fare Swisse offers a wonderfully clean and quiet spot to await your flight home or a departure on the Aranui 3. Beni could not have been more helpful in shuttling us about town to the dock and airport. And having breakfast while overlooking the rooftops below was just great. Highly recommended.

We ranked this a 5 star because Beni makes this so easy. Airport pick-up and ferry drop-off made getting through Tahiti (to Moorea) easy. The grocery store 1 block away had everything we needed (including a bank machine). Our room came with a mini-kitchen allowing us to fix the kids what they wanted for breakfast.

My overnight stay at Fare Suisse was very convenient and pleasant. I arrived at Papeete in the early evening and travelled to Moorea the next morning. Beni picked me up at the airport, albeit a few minutes late, and drove me to the Fare Suisse guest house. The accomodations are spotless and very comfortable. The breakfast was baguette, cheeses, cold...
