Hotel Holiday garners admiration for its prime location and scenic views, with the hotel's atmosphere receiving accolades for its modern charm and complimentary touches. The staff's professionalism and warmth are often highlighted, enhancing guest experiences. While the rooms are spacious and contemporary, some guests have pointed out maintenance and cleanliness concerns. Patrons enjoy the array of amenities, including a well-equipped gym and diverse breakfast options, though the wellness services have drawn some criticism. Despite the overall cleanliness and friendly environment, issues such as unreliable wifi and extra parking fees lead some to question the hotel's value for money.

The hotel is quite big, with some peculiar architectural ideas.
However, the rooms are quite spacious, clean and cozy. The bed is enormous, but it was too soft for my liking - therefore the overall rating "very good".
I initially stayed in a room with a view, but it was a bit noisy, so the hotel staff kindly gave me another room, which was much quieter.
The breakfast offered a variety of food, mainly local dishes, which I enjoyed.
I also dined at the restaurant one evening, and the beefsteak salad was delicious.
The coffee in the lobby was average.
The staff is very nice and helpful.
As for the location, the hotel is close to two shopping centres, while the centre of Sarajevo is a 4KM taxi ride away.

The hotel has a good location - for the center and all the famous locations you should go just straight the street. There is also a tram stoping very often near the hotel. A few city malls are very near the hotel. The inside of the hotel and the rooms are with older furniture but it is clean and no smell. There is a large outdoor and also indoor parking for the guests. The pool, spa and gym are average good. There is decent choice of food and drinks for breakfast. As mentioned the furniture is older but functional and clean. The beds are not bad and comfy. Wi-fi quality depends on the room you get.

The room is incredibly spacious, providing ample space to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. The bed is extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. In terms of cleanliness, the bathroom is spotless, reflecting the high standards of hygiene maintained by the establishment. However, the only drawback is the somewhat unreliable wifi connection, which can be an inconvenience for those needing to stay connected. Additionally, while the infrastructure appears a bit outdated, it still retains a certain charm and character that adds to the overall ambiance of the place. Finally, the breakfast offered is of average quality, providing a satisfactory start to the day without any standout elements.

My home in Sarajevo. That is what I will call this hotel. I remember going to Sarajevo BEFORE this hotel was built. It has all the charm of high end hotels. Built for the Olympics, and still stands as a beacon to much happier days in Sarajevo.

A hot continental style breakfast, extremely friendly and helpful staff, good wifi, near shopping and transportation. (pro tip, arrange with the hotel transportation from the airport, otherwise it is a nearly 50 KM taxi ride!) Laundry service is available, I am not sure about dry cleaning. Although, they may be able to set it up for you. You will be hard pressed to find similar service for the price.

Nasa soba bila cista i odobna. Hvala lepo na divnoj posjeti! Vidimo se!

Room Tip: Maybe rooms on the north side are a little quieter, but the noise is otherwise a nonissue for me.

Amazing experience! I stayed in Sarajevo for just three nights but I wish I had made my stay longer, as this city has a lot more to offer. This hotel has perfect location because it is in front of two of the main museums in Sarajevo, it's next to the best malls -with cheap shopping, lots of restaurants and exchange places) -and it's also walking distance from the historic old town of Sarajevo. It was very easy and convenient, rooms were comfortable and nice, breakfast was also good, highly recommend!

Historic landmark with few obvious changes since its opening in 1984.
I was staying on the fourth floor and it seems as if you have to be on Holiday to get to your room. Very slow and uncoordinated elevators makes it easier and quicker to take the stairs (at least going down). Key card tend to malfunction so it could take some minutes to get to the reception where it often was a line (at least during the Sarajevo film festival - could be the hotel was superbusy and understaffed).
I would give credit for great water pressure in the shower in the tub.
I wish a cockroach had been removed from the barhroom but that insect also gives flavour to an old building.
Talking of flavours, I’d say the best thing with breakfast was the coffee. Dry bread but some fresh fried eggs served in a room that also could have worked as a class room.
The hotel reception was quick at ordering metered taxi for you. It was only a few minutes, a couple of kilometers, to the charming old town.

The hotel had a great location with a store right next door to grab whatever was needed but also a shopping center to walk around and explore. It also has easy access to get out of town if you are traveling to other parts of town and country. The staff was friendly and their restaurant had great options. Parking was included and it had multiple places to park the car.

This apparently used to be a 5* hotel and at some point, they were downgraded to 4*. Even that is being extremely generous.

My room was extremely uncomfortable. The mattress was so hard that I had to sleep on top of the comforter and even still, I would wake up with a sore back every morning. Additionally, the air conditioner in my room barely worked. My second day there, I asked about the air conditioner and was told by the staff that there was a problem with the HVAC system on my floor but that they had fixed it. By "fixed," I guess they meant that the air conditioner was now circulating warm air, rather than hot air like before. But because of how hot the room stayed and how hard the mattress was, I barely got any sleep in my 3 days there.

There were other inconveniences, too. The internet was slow and went out regularly and my room key stopped working 3 or 4 times while I was there and I had to go down to the lobby to get them to reset it.

The staff was overall pretty dismissive and unhelpful.

The breakfast was pretty good though, and was really the only thing that I liked about this place.

Dated Serious need of investment.

Rude staff when checking in
Expensive, quoted £120 euro at desk, quick check online the same room same hotel booking.com £93 euro, he then dropped it to €87 euro, why try rip me off in the first instance?

Dirty breakfast area
And if you come for breakfast after 09:30 don’t expect any fresh food just the stuff thats been sat there since what i can only imagine sunrise, dried and shrivelled cold food.
