Don't let the shining lobby area distract your thinking! The hotel room was honestly speaking out of order with falling curtains, broken shower, uncomfortable bed and pillows as well as smokey smell. The hotels decent breakfast and well equipped gym & large swimming pool were the most positive aspects of my stay at Marinela!

A colleague mentioned - the hotel leaves the rather mafia inspired Russian hotel feeling behind. The reception area, rooms, service, even many local guests seem are over-kitchy stylish beyond description, but somehow never reaches a classy level. The Conference facilities - well appointed, well working. A fantastic outside garden bar - but with rather slow and unfriendly service, unless you...

Recently stayed for 5 nights at this fancy hotel with its garish lobby all decked out in a black-and-white motif. If you're into trendy and kitsch then consider staying here! I had one of their budget hotel rooms with two twin beds with an amazing city view from the 17th floor. The room definitely had an old-world feel to it...

For a five star hotel, it does not live up to it! On arrival, having booked a deluxe room, we were told that we had booked a standard! On showing them our confirmation of a deluxe room, we were told they had renovated rooms since we made our booking and then had changed their room descriptions, like this was a...

Unique and wonderful place. Marinela Hotel has it all. Great clubbing on Saturday night, stunning people walking around. You can choose to spend time in one of the different bar and you will be literally surprised. A great design by Kisho Kurokawa surrounds each space. Luxury and a true feeling of Bulgaria. Loved it and will be back soon.

This is a weird hotel. The service at the hotel itself is quite good and the hotel is clean and well situated near the metro and a huge park. The gym facilities are excellent. The breakfast, outdoor Asian garden and the views from the room are all nice. They did an excellent job hosting the conference with decent meeting spaces...

Where to start? This hotel has amazingly gaudy and in your face decor. I have never seen anything like it - and I'm positive I never will again :) Not only do you need sunglasses for the striped hotel lobby and some of the hallways but the design is so "loud" you might even need ear plugs. But despite the...

The hotel is located on the hill of Sofia, 3 km from historical downtown. The facility is one of the biggest of the capital, with several restaurants, clubs, gym area and indoor pool. Despite its size, the service is always efficient and the personnel present but not invading. Rooms are large, especially those located in corners. Better be at a...
