A nice budget hostel in central Zagreb. A short tram ride or walk from the main train station. Close to the funicular and walking to everywhere you likely want to go. I stayed in a dorm room. It was basic but fine. The bathrooms were nothing special, but had hot water. There was good wifi and a very nice bar/cafe. A good self-service kitchen as well. I thought it was good value. I would stay there again.

My first time staying at a hostel and was pleasantly surprised. We stayed in a private room and was quite pleased with the size of the room. Other accommodations we stayed in were less roomy. The breakfast was quite good at a very reasonable price. Location was excellent!

The hotel is funky. Beer cheap. Service really good. We stayed in one of their apartments up the road. So so beautiful. If you want quiet ask to stay there. It has everything you need. The only thing is tge pool is tiny but for a city its a bonus. Tram stops outside and you can get tram or walk to centre. Across the road a sandwich place. This is an excellent place to stay you will not be disappointed. Couples may prefer the apartments.

Stayed for 3 nights in room 8. The hostel is towards the north-west end of Zagreb centre and about a 20 minute walk from the train station. You could take a tram as well. I thought the hostel was difficult to find, unless you happen to see the sign on the side wall. The entrance from the main street leads to a courtyard and the hostel building is at the end of a courtyard. A sign on the street facing wall would've been more visible. Check in was straightforward and the staff took me to the room after the formalities of paying the city tourist tax. The room was located in a basement, via the kitchen and common area. The kitchen had a microwave, cooker and utensils. The room had two bunks opposite each other, a private bathroom, lockers, two small chairs and a low table. Lockers were provided, but you'll need your own padlock. The floor was bare concrete. The bathroom had a walk-in shower, toilet and sink. Both the room and bathroom were nicely cleaned everyday. The room had a window which opened up to the courtyard, at pedestrian level. As the hostel has a bar and it's close to the street, it can get noisy. The bunk bed was sturdy and barely felt my bunkmate. The mattress was the foam type, which I thought was maybe upside down as the ridges were facing up. To be honest, I thought the mattress was too thin. I could feel the wooden frame underneath. The WiFi could be inconsistent in the room, but works better in the common areas. Location wise, the hostel is to the west of the main sights, but within easy walking distance. The hostel does provide a separately paid for breakfast and even a free coffee machine, but there's plenty of bakeries and cafes around. Overall, I had a comfortable stay. The staff are okay, facilities good and the location was within reasonable walking distance from everything

The cleanliness was very good. We arrived in the middle of the night and the guy on reception was very helpful, helped us up to the room. The hospitality standard here is very good. There is a bar and place to eat near the Swanky which was also brilliant and priced very well. I’ll recommend to friends and family. 10/10

We booked a private room in June 2022 and stayed for one night before travelling to Split. We were just having a stop over I’m Zagreb but what a hostel to stop over in. The bar was a great vibe, the pool was really nice and the rooms and shared bathrooms were well looked after

Stayed here with Husband during my stay in Zagreb. Yes, I did a search on Hostels in the area and I decided to go for it. I stayed in a private room and found the accommodations were exactly what I was looking for. It is a very nice stylish, with the times, friendly Hostel. It is safe, has a restaurant, bar, plenty of terraces, kitchen, private rooms and dorms. It is close to all of the attractions in Zagreb. The food in the restaurant is good and the entire atmosphere is very welcoming and well put together. I highly recommend to stay at this location. I love that you can charge the bar drinks to your room. I am sure everyone that is traveling abroad is aware, make sure you bring an outlet converter.

Swanky Mint is a good hostel. The staff is very friendly, helpful and gives loads of good advice. They're always smiling. The hostel itself is in a good location, close to the main square. It was missing a common area to just sit and relax other than the bar where you felt like you need to buy something in order to sit there or the kitchen where people were cooking. The pool area was pretty nice, though. And the dorms were good as well. The beds are comfy. What I missed was another toilet outside of the dorms. But I would stay again if I were to come back to Zagreb.

During our visit to Zagreb we stayed at the swanky mint in a private room for two nights. The staff were helpful, and allowed us to leave our large bags at reception due to our early arrival. The location is very good, being only a 10 minute walk at most from the main square. Rooms were clean, tidy and of a good size with air-conditioning. The hostel had the added advantage of a pool to cool off for guests, great for a hot day. Also a very nice resident cat!
