As many reviews have said, this is a hotel that dates back to the soviet era in the centre of town. A period building that could offer so much more. The rooms are large and clean and most importantly good value. I booked two rooms and rather than giving us two rooms next to each other on the same floor,...

It was my first time I stayed here! I have always warted to stay here and really to see what it was like to stay in an old style Ukraine hotel! Two things I will give it 10 out of 10 for is the room was spotless clean and tidy and I think I had the best nights sleep for...

First off, really loved the location of this hotel. Even though we didn't get a view of Maidan (Independence Square) from our room, you can get an amazing one from the little balcony at the side before you get into the lifts. Our room was huge, definitely traditional Soviet style and clean. The bed was good, we got a good...

Great location, situated next to Majdan square. You will have shops, stores and restaurants within 200 meters. Room are ok, I slept well in my bed, cleaning was perfect. Room equipped with air conditioning and fridge. A rustic soviet feeling is included in both room and building. If you don't like it you will have a problem staying in this...

The Hotel in in a great location, just in the main street, walk outside and go down the hill, 2-3 minutes walking. Breakfast is basic, but enough until lunch. I asked for some tuna but was refused. Service in breakfast room is very very poor. Elevators must be renovated and totally replaced, seems they are going to stuck. Rooms are...

The best advantage of the hotel is its location. It right downtown. And it is historic. Other than that, it is a average 3* at best hotel. Even though the lobby and the room look renovated, it is just basic. it's clean. WiFi works well in the room. Complimentary water was provided upon check-in. The staff do not go an...

Hi, Dear Guest! Thank you for your review. We are very pleased that you were satisfied with the fantastic location of the hotel. Hotel “Ukraine” – is not like the average present-day hotel. The hotel has his own history and we try to save the special atmosphere – echo of the past. We understand that not everybody admires architectural monuments,...

Location, location, location. This hotel screams it loud. Located right by the Maidan -- the main square of Kiev, it stands tall like a sentinel watching the city unfold its many drama. Many major sights are just a few minutes walk away. From the outside, it looks like a former Soviet institution, but surprisingly it is quite nice. Our double...

Ideally located in the beautiful city of Kiev. An old Soviet style hotel, with limited amenieties. Gives you the feeling of old style Soviet life, comfortable rooms and adequate breakfast but lacking any extravagance.
