Detailed Reviews
This is a lovely and charming boutique style hotel. Check-in was welcoming and friendly. My room was very clean and comfortable. It was well equipped for a pleasant stay. There is a lovely sitting area outside next to the gardens. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great, in a quiet neighborhood yet walkable to lots of shopping and restaurants. I will most definitely stay here on my next visit to San Salvador. Highly recommended.

We arrived late at night and Isabel immediately made us feel welcome.
Isabel escorted to our room and greeted us with wonderful tea at 3am. It was a large room and very clean. The location was prefect and access to the main roads.
Raquel was also very pleasant and helpful.
Overall our stay was amazing and I would definitely recommend this hotel/posada if you are in San Salvador.

My mom, my 6 yr old and I stayed at La Posada for a week Nov28-Dec 6th. The hotel is in a quiet area of San Salvador and it's very safe, they have security throughout the night. The staff was very accomodating, the ladies were always smiling , breakfast every morning was delicious, and I loved the holiday decor. We stayed in a two bed room, which was cleaned everyday. The only thing was one of the beds was hard, I woke up with back pains but other than that everything was great. There is a great hair salon across the street if you want to do your hair/nails. There's a restaurant within walking distance as well. The price for the room was excellent and we would definitely come back and stay here. Gracias Sra. Raquel!

Third time we have stayed here over the last 6 years! As promised, a driver was waiting for us at the airport, with a sign with our names, and charged what Raquel, the hotel owner, had told us we should be charged. We arrived at the hotel at 9:30 pm, and Isabel, the caretaker, was more than happy to prepare us a delicious pupusa meal. The room was clean and neat, as always, and a very nice typical breakfast was served in the beautiful and quaint backyard/garden. This is a beautiful 10 room boutique hotel ( a converted large residence) in the very safe and upscale Escalon district, within walking distance of restaurants and a nice shopping center.

If you are staying overnight in the city, for business, or on your way out to the multitude of sites, this is the best place to stay. Friendly and caring, like family, efficient, quiet, lovely patio for breakfast and dinner, the breakfast kept me going for the day, great pupusas, within walking distance of their world trade centre, good wifi, A/C and hot water. They will help with your airport transfers and tours and taxis Highly recommended after a lifetime of travel..

i need to be honest with my review,my first impression with this hotel it wasn't the best. we arrived about 3 in the afternoon after a long drive from airport and ugly city traffic. there is very limit parking only two spaces inside a few other on the street that you have to share with local workers in the area. we did have 3 big bags plus two carry on. that being destroy from the airline not hotel fault. but at lease you expect that they will have someone to help you carrie your luggage .after asking the house keeping she offer to help. i get the room #6. which is big in comfortable but far away. you will have to fill a small form . on the 2017 a think a little old fashion. the room is nice and quiet. small bath but enough to do your things. ac works pretty good. the cleaning ladies try their best to keep this place clean but they should get them more help since the place is not pristine. and it need a little work to make look good. the owner are very polite and willing to help. the big plus that this place have is doña Anita. the sweet lady that will do anything to make you feel at home.she will cook a delicious breakfast and remember what do you like the next day. like she will remember that i like to have my newspaper and coffee before anything. she is very sweet polite and friendly.i will definitely stay here again.wi fi drops a lot.

Responded 2 May 2017
Saludos cordiales.

I've been traveling to El Salvador quite often and have stayed at different hotels within the last year. La Posada Del Angel is now one of my favorite stays and top of the list for when I go back to El Salvador. The staff was very attentive. The owner very friendly and on the premises most of the day. It's very secure and quiet. Breakfast was awesome! my girlfriend enjoyed the service and was delighted to see how friendly everyone was at all times. The hotel is in a very safe area of the capital and near many excellent restaurants. I highly recommend the hotel and wish the staff much success.

My boyfriend and I stayed in Hotel Posada Del Angel for 2 nights in early April of 2015. This hotel was clean, comfortable, and very homey. It reminded me pleasantly of my grandmother's house, and it felt as though we were visiting family instead of staying in another industrial hotel. The included breakfast was eggs, beans, toast, fruit, and coffee (tipico), and she even woke up early to make us a breakfast the morning we had to leave very early to catch our bus home. The wifi worked great, fresh fluffy towels and linens, and the TV and AC worked great. The hotel was walking distance from a couple of areas with dinner/restaurant choices, and a cab to Gran Villa from our hotel was only $5. It was close enough to all the things we wanted to do, without being in a noisy part of the city. Great little neighborhood, good value for the money, and wonderful staff! The only thing that I must mention as advice for future travelers (not related to this wonderful little hotel) is the city basically shuts down during Semana Santa (Holy Week). Thursday before Easter many shopping districts were closed, and on Good Friday the new Cadejo Brew House was closed, the entire Gran Villa and Multi Plaza districts were closed (even the restaurants). But luckily, we found a delicious place very near our hotel that was one of the few still open! Just be aware of that when planning a trip. This was obviously no bad comment about the Posada Del Angel, as this was a great hotel! :)

The staff is beyond helpful and accommodating. While a little worn and having a leaky shower, it is a great place for a group with its beautiful courtyard for breakfast and conversation. Tables for card games and use of the refrigerator were greatly appreciated. We were told to feel like we were home and we could and we did. Free WiFi always a plus.

At $55 USD/night this is excellent value for this wonderful hotel. We were greeted when we arrived by lovely Isa who engaged us in conversation and made us feel like this was home! And even though it was late in the evening she made us delicious pupusas for dinner. Our complimentary breakfast in the morning was the traditional fried plantains, beans, eggs and toast - and it was the best we've had in El Salvador. The hotel features a very nice open air garden with a variety of trees and plants, and has a cozy common area with candles, board games, and a selection of music. The rooms feature king size beds, flat screen TVs and free WiFi. The highlight really was the staff - Isa and Raquel - they were very friendly and engaging and willing to arrange any excursions from the hotel or travel to the rest of the country. When we come back to San Salvador we will stay here!
