Breakfast - It wasn’t bad as such; but 10USD for 3 flat bacon strips and overcooked scrambled eggs - that’s too much but you could say “whatever” But being charged extra because I asked for milk in my coffee - that is just Silly and rubbish service.
I visited yesterday and checked out yesterday. We had 1 night booked but the 1000 mosquitos around us didnt let us stay. A few thungs to know before going: 1. ALL employees seem to be awsre of the mosquito issue, which tell me the management of this hotel does not invest in getting rid of the problem. Everyone was running all ovdr trying to stay away from mlsquitos there were people with babies and didnt know what do to becausd they were being bitten. The restaurant is outdoors so we knew we werent going to be able to eat there do we left. I am attaching a pic of ny husbands back after 5 min outside the pool when we walked back to the room. 2. They do not invest in cleaning the pool. You cant even see underwater. The filters area is soooo dirty (and they have them off) that it has dirtyness all over. 3. Inside the rooms the AC barely works, if you are in bed yoi wont feel it you have to be right under it. I didnt have the chance to explore any positive, we left 2 hrs after check in. The whole resort does not get maintenance nor is clean. There is another big resort which is Decameron, it is in the same beach and IT DOES NOT have the same amount of mosquitos and have crystal clear water. So I am nlt a fan of that place but if I had to choose Id go there. …
We went with my family last week. The place is beautiful and the beach is really kids friendly as it's shallow, it's a very quiet beach, maybe because we went on Tuesday. It has a restaurant, pools, and of course the beach side. The only thing I didn't like too much is the fact that you have to pay $10 just to get in the place. The food was ok and not too expensive.
Why i am given a 4 point to las veraneras? My family and i rented a villa in las veraneras 2 weeks ago and we thought it was going to be a terrible experience. Our surprise was that it wasn't that horrible thing other users say it is. The villa has ants and has mosquitoes but you are in a Central American beach wherever you are you will have ants and mosquitoes. The villa is really good, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is spacious, it has a kitchenette with a mini fridge and it has it's one kitchen utensils. You can eat inside the villa at night (so you dont get bite by mosquitoes) and you can also eat outside in the day. The restaurant has good food. i do not recommend the convenience store is better if you buy your own things before. The pool area is nice and it has 2 small water slides. the beach is a little bit rocky but you can get in the water with water shoes. I would recommend this place.…
On our trip to El Salvador our friend invited us to this resort and she really built it up. We were expecting a great time but it left plenty to be desired. The bungalow was really nothing great the nicest part was the hammock outside on the porch. The stove was a small set of electric burners and the fridge was very small. The beds were mattresses on concrete or wood. The only place to put up clothes is the master bedroom in a family bungalow. My girls used a bench for their items. The doors to the room were dirty. Not only was the bungalow in need of upgrades but so were parts of the property. The beach area is a huge disappointment!! It is pretty much all rocks and very little beach. There was even a stream in the sand that I thought was natural but it was flowing from a pipe connected to the bathrooms. The water looked clean but that was really gross. There are tons of mosquitos in the swim areas and beach mostly in the evening so have spray handy if you go. The parts we enjoyed were the swim areas during the day. My daughters had fun there and the food was pretty good. If you decide to bring your family here bring a cooler with ice and drinks and snacks. Don't forget to bring mosquito spray. Know that all tips are included in prices so you do not over tip like I did. Also, when you arrive make sure not to sign the list of items they have you sign for without making sure they are all in the rooms. They will charge you for items that are damaged or gone even if you sign by mistake. I would also bring paper plates and cups remember they charge for any damages and I was nervous the whole time to accidentally drop my coffee cup or plate. All in all it was not worth the price or visit. Hope this helps.…
I check out tomorrow, and will never step here again!!! Came with a 3yrs old and my husband and didn't enjoyed vacations here, just want to go...Nice place and friendly personnel but nothing compensate the excessive cost for a supposed "All inclusive" were drinks are limited at their convenience, food is not good and few options are offered (worse if you don't eat sea food ir hace a gluten free diet). Restaurant hours were missinformed, today it was supposed to close at 10pm, it closed at 8, so we will must starve as there is no answer, help or other food options available near where we are,
We rented a villa for 1 night and two days. As soon as we got there (during rainy season in July) we were overwhelmed by large mosquitos. Even using repellent we still were eaten alive. For this reason we could not go out for a walk around the premises at all,and we could not use the smaller childrens pool located near the villas. We also found the restaurant food substandard, and the large water slides were closed for repair. There was someone wandering around the large pool that was mildly intimidating giving us the feeling that we were being closely watched for any behaviour violations. We are a family with a baby and a 3 year old, not some wild partygoers..so I felt a little uncomfortable being so closely watched. Upon check out, I was asked to sit in the lobby and wait while our villa was checked. I have never, ever been asked to wait upon checking out of a hotel before. I sort of felt like they suspect all guests of stealing from the villas? At any rate, I didn't find the place to excel in the field of hospitality and making guests feel welcome. The large crew of gardeners were very friendly and hardworking. The villa was very clean and comfortable. Although the lovely patio attached to the villa could not be used due to the mosquitos. Overall, I would not go back to this place. It is a lovely establishment, but really the mosquitos ate us alive.…
Our 3rd Time we came back unfortunate this time was very dirty, ants in the bedroom, dirty swimming pools , the kids activities center dirty... Etc plus not even apologize at the reception !!!!
If you´re planning a trip with friends unexpensive, private & with all the amenities of a hotel, this is the place. Las veraneras is a beach club with pools, waterpark, beach, bicycles even horses! All included in the package. We rented a bungalow for 6 people we brought food, but you can also order in. Each bungalow is fully equiped with kitchenette ,cooking utencils, fridge, stove, etc. The whole bungalow has airconditioning, hot water, cable t.v. Every morning they tend to your bungalow just like a regular hotel, they even do the dishes if you leave them there! I definitely recommend it for family, friends & couples, so much to do and even if it´s full it´s so big you just won´t feel it. :)
We originally planned just one night, but extended our stay to two because we were having such a great time. The club by the beach has a huge pirate ship and pool for the kids to play on, there are also two large water slides that is fun for adults and kids. The nine hole golf course (formerly eighteen) is well kept and priced OK. The larger villas have two bedrooms and a kitchen. We cooked our breakfast at the room, ate lunch at the beach club and then went to Acahutla for dinner. The food and service at the club was very good. The bartender at one point actually cut down some fresh coconuts for our drinks (coco-locos). The beach itself is pretty rocky, but in front of the club they have cleared an area for swimming. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will return soon.…
