We stayed four nights for a wedding at the hotel. We really enjoyed the property and the staff was very nice. Food was excellent and service so nice. There is a nice fitness center with good equipment. Be aware, the large swimming pool you see in many review photos, no longer exists. It has been remodeled to an open patio/courtyard. The current pool is really quiet small,. This wasn’t a big deal for us but if the pool photos are a big draw for you, take note! We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again regardless if we were going to a wedding there.
San Salvador is not the safest city. I like to go out at night but chose not to on the one evening I spent at this hotel. I was travelling around the country and ended my trip with 2 days and 1 night in San Salvador. I was out sightseeing all day. I chose this hotel as I wanted something with an atmosphere and things to do in the evening when I got back. This was perfect. Big hotel. Very noisy and busy. Popular for weddings and conferences. Big lobby and a number of eateries on the premises and close by. Very clean. Wifi was fine. Room was great. I ate at the hotel the one evening I was there and the food was good. Some will find the hotel very noisy and there were a few guests who were quite loud! I enjoyed the atmosphere. It didn't bother me. There isn't that much around the hotel apart from a few eateries. As I said, your unlikely to spend long in San Salvador. This is a good option to come back to after sightseeing. Not sure on other amenities.…
This hotel is a normal 4 star hotel but more noisy than any other convention centre hotels I have ever visited. There was a new party every night. Weddings, theme nights and even an opera singer was entertaining two nights In a row. This hotel is probably fine for tourists but not suited for people who are here to work.
Located in the Colonia Escalon area, it's a very nice hotel. However, it's a ways from the historic district, so will need to taxi or take public transit. The reason for not giving 5 stars is the lack of hotel shuttle. Despite this complimentary offering still being listed on their website, the front desk staff informed us that the shuttle has been out of commission since the pandemic started. After being at this for 18 months, one would think the shuttle situation would be figured out by now. They are happy to call a taxi for you, but obviously much more expensive. I would recommend using Uber. The front desk was also happy to print our COVID results prior to going to the airport. We didn't utilize the hotel amenities, so cannot comment on this. Overall, this was a very nice hotel, but would likely look for one in a different location next time.…
The breakfast buffet is just the best and why we will be back again. The food included made to order omelettes, a variety of fresh juices, smoothies, fresh fruits, hot breakfast foods with great variety, cheeses, made to oder Salvadoran "pupusas", and breakfast pasties. But the staff is what makes the experience exceptional. A special recognition has to go to Roberto Garcia. Look for him if you go and just marvel at how hard this man tries to make sure that every guest has the best possible experience. He simply can't do enough and what makes it so nice is he does it for everyone and he is just sincerely the nicest person. He said he has been at the hotel for 24 years and its his first and only job. He said the hotel has treated him so well over the years and he just loves his job. It shows and sometimes the exceptional efforts of one person is what makes a good stay in to a great overall experience. The hotel itself is great value, clean, comfortable rooms ( even numbered rooms have volcano view - try to get one!), nice pool, lobby and just a pleasant place to stay. But the breakfast buffet, the views of the volcano and the great staff are what makes this place the best choice in San Salvador. Make Roberto's day by saying hello and that you read a review about him and wanted to see if he is as friendly and helpful as you read in the review. You will not be disappointed.…
Overall good hotel. The hotel staff were pleasant and the room was nice and clean. The food and drinks were good. The bartender (Santos) and Manager (Enrique) were very professional and welcoming. Definitely recommend it and would stay here again. The only bad moment at this hotel was upon our arrival the parking lot security guard was very demanding and rude. I addressed this issue with hotel staff and they were very apologetic.
The location is excellent there’s a plaza near by, that you can go through the hotel. Where you can find restaurants. The hotel it self is outdated needs attention. I stayed in the second floor my room oh my god, the view spectacular but the toilet broke several times. Until a light bulb turned on the maintenance tech to replace the pump. After it was replaced toilet. Few days later toilet wouldn’t flush again. Frustrating to keep calling to report stuff. On top of that the A/C started leaking on top of the bathroom sink. They said they fixed it . but days later it leaked. So inconvenience, they didn’t bother to offer me another room. Until 4 days left on my reservation I declined. A hassle moving to another room. That meant pack & un pack again. They provided a refrigerator that look all beat up. It freeze all the drinks. The door got jammed there I was calling to have them fix it. The safe died on me I had to call again to fix or replace. It was on thing after the other. The staff in the reception was great & door man as well very attentive. The restaurant area. For dinner they need to offer a variety of food. The menu is very limited. Is either pizza, tacos, hamburgers. Need more variety. Buffet is alright again I had to request food to have for another day. Which I appreciate it. they listened to my needs. The service was excellent when Valentina, Yamilet & Robert García were in the floor. Excellent employees. I appreciate you help & kindness. When they were not around oh my god I had to ask for coffee no one offer all I kept seeing were the other servers more worry about cleaning the tables, than helping customers. Very grateful to Valentina, Yamilet & Roberto. Also supervisor Juan Carlos & Fernando. They always came to ask how everything was. Thank you. Also the lady in charge of making pupusas Maria Rosa Centeno very sweet & kind lady. Thank you. My suggestion is they need to inspect the rooms before the customer arrive. Check that everything is in working order. That the room has towels, shampoo, soap, toilet paper. The A/C is in good working order. I had to request towels, the people cleaning the room. Neglected to see if the room had towels they don’t pay attention. Bummer.…
This hotel had the absolute best customer service. The staff were attentive and receptive to every question and request. The hotel is clean and tastefully decorated. The King room with Volcano view should not be missed! Wonderful stay. I could not have asked for better. COVID protocols in place at all times. Incredibly easy to maintain distance, sanitizer everywhere and masks required.
Overall this is a great place to stay, staff is wonderful and they make you feel like home. No issues it all, clean, nice views and awesome food. Enrique, Salomón and Roberto you guys rock!! Should come back again soon!
Hotel was exceptional clean and I saw staff working to keep it that way. The hotel was beautiful on the inside with great ambiance. The restaurant has a buffet style service for breakfast with a chef there to cook your food. My omelet was delicious and I loved the plantains and assorted breads and deserts. The view of the Sleeping Giant Volcano and the lush plants around the swimming pool topped it off. Far as security, never no problems. I’m from Tennessee if that helps you to know that. Great Stay P.S. They are very COVID-19 protocol conscious. All the staff wear masks and guest must wear them if they are not in their room.
