Good location, nice and quite neighbourhoud. Clean hotel, Wifi is working fine. The shower always had warm water. Friendly personal which gave good tips for the city. Parking right in front of the hotel
Located in very calm residential location Walkable distance to St Luis shopping mall Room are clean and comfortable With complementary three optional breakfast menus Wifi works well Got cab for pickup from Airport on reasonable price Nothing for negative
This is a hotel located near the National University, it is small but very comfortable. The owners are very nice and the staff very helpful. The fee includes breakfast that it is prepared according to your liking. The cook is very good, breakfast is delicious and home made! If you decide to stay there choose one of the rooms in the back of the house, the one close to the street is very nice but it gets too noisy at night with the traffic from the street
I didn't arrive to the hotel until gone 1am, and needed to leave at 05:30 (this wasn't the original plan, but occurred due to flight changes). Lady was very sweet, ordered me my taxi, and my stay was all too brief, but they looked after me very well considering.
I travel at least a couple of time per year to el Salvador. Usually I stayed in the typical hotels in San Salvador that most tourists choose primarily for safety and also for comfort. This time we were doing some missionary work in El Salvador so I wanted to keep the lodging in a budget and I found Casa Tazumal online. I must say because of the unbelievable pricing I was a little nervous when I arrived. Miss Conchi o "Niña Conchi" the owner welcomed me with a genuine smile and I gave her my reservation. Please know that if you are going to pay with a credit card (Which you can) they may be an additional fee (charged by the hotel) due to the way the banks operate in El Salvador operate, so it is best to pay with cash to avoid this fee "niña Conchi" kindly explained to me. I was taken to my room and it was cleaned, A/C working properly, with a good size closet and the bathroom was also very cleaned. The rooms are the most basic so don't expect any Egyptian cotton on the sheets or very fluffy pillows, however I was very pleased with it. The breakfast was also included (another surprise) and it was really good, the cooker and the server went really out of the way to make sure that the breakfast experience was decent and I think they did a good job. A typical breakfast like that (outside de hotels) will cost you $8-$10...I will encourage you to make sure you leave a tip because I think they deserve it. A couple of dollars go a long way in El Salvador and this people work really hard. I stayed for 2 weeks and I felt safe, as a woman that is very important. Because of my presentations I was going in and out of the hotel constantly and sometimes to late hours at night, they don't have a 24 hour front desk but I was given a key to enter the hotel after hours plus there was a staff member who I knew stayed onsite. She told me that her staff has been working with her for years and it showed. "Niña Conchi" was very friendly and her spirit made me feel very comfortable in her hotel, I felt that I was staying with an old friend. She arrange cab rides with a taxi driver who is christian and the interesting thing was that he knew who I was because of the Christian radios in El Salvador, he took me to different places and back to the airport on my last day. I really recommend this place to you, not even just because you want to save money like I was doing from the beginning but because is a great and different experience than the luxury hotels. You can use the money you are saving to treat yourself in the amazing restaurants you find in San Salvador or do other things. God bless you and hope that you enjoy this place as much as I did…
I've stayed at the Hotel Tazumal House several times recently, it's nicely designed and decorated, private bathrooms, wifi, air-conditioning, TV, a choice of breakfasts and the staff are eager to help out with anything from taxis to laundry. It is well-located in a quiet area near the San Luis commercial centre, near the National University. There is a choice of hotels along this street, this is a good option.
This is a great little hotel with the nicest people in the world. There is wifi, air conditioner, tv, breakfast, nice breakfast room, nice lobby and an indoor/outdoor area. The neighborhood is safe. You need to be able to speak some Spanish, though because I don't think any of the staff speaks English. They have a taxi driver that they can call for you who is helpful, honest and dependable. I felt at home in this hotel.
The hotel is a nice spot in a quite neighboorhood. The staff is kind, but lack of English might make it difficult to communicate. The breakfast is very good and the rooms are a haven with en suite and a/c. The wifi works in rooms too.
I stayed here with a group of friends and my boyfriend. The hotel is in a quiet location and was well worth the price paid. I stayed in a double room upstairs which came with an ensuite and tv. The hotel has a very homely feel with fresh rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast is included with your room price and its very substantial compared to some breakfasts offered. I wish I had stayed longer as I really loved this place!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great value for $35. Nice quiet street if a little far from downtown but near university. Hot water and AC, very clean. Huge and delicious breakfast included. I can recommend it very highly.
