The hotel is located on a quiet city street a few blocks from the university and a really nice park(up the hill). Security is high with locked gates and high walls. For El Salvador, its a neat clean hotel where you can "feel" the city. Breakfast was good and is provided in a tropical open air courtyard. Refreshing! Purified water...

I would definitely stay here again. This not a high end hotel, but it is very very clean and the beds are very comfortable. I stayed here a week ago and yes there were three beds in the room for three of us, but who cares! The room was clean, had a/c, a safe, tv and always a hot shower....

Reserved a room for three and they put three beds in a single room side by side with absolutely no space between the beds, not even an inch (wall to wall). We asked them to get us another room but they did not care at all, no excuses, nothing, just saying the hotel was full. We were captive of our...

This is a nice small hotel, in a safe, walkable neighborhood near the Univ. of Centro America. The rooms are fairly simply, cozy and clean. The garden downstairs where the included breakfast is served is beautiful. The staff is very helpful in all matters.

Arbol de Fuego is a wonderful place to stay in San Salvador, close to the UCA. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and will go out of their way to accommodate. The breakfast is great and plentiful. The rooms are simple, but are adequate.

I highly recommend this hotel. I arrived with my family late at night and the staff arranged a trustworthy taxi to pick us up. The hotel is very clean, safe with all the necessary amenities. It's also located walking distance from the two main museums and la Zona Rosa (nice area with restaurants and bars).

I have stayed at this hotel twice in my trips to El Salvador and I have loved in both times. The rooms are simple but cozy. The grounds are so pretty, most notably the courtyard where breakfast is served. I had a group of people and the feeling from them was very positive. The staff were very friendly and the...

I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. As a young woman traveling alone with an overnight and all day layover in San Salvador, I was worried about finding a safe place in the city to spend the night, as well as getting to and from the hotel safely on a budget. The hotel arranged both a taxi pickup at the...

The staff was very attentive, even before I arrived. They communicated with me by e-mail very quickly after I made inquiries and were friendly and accommodating. This is an "eco-hotel" that makes every effort to conserve resources while at the same time offering the guests all the ammenities--air-conditioning, TV, WiFi, purified drinking water, hot showers, room phones. Decor is simple,...

This hotel is beautiful, and in a great location right by UCA! The breakfast is great, the rooms are clean, and the price is good. The service was very good, and they were very accommodating. There's plenty of water to drink, hot water, and coffee to buy.

“all the rooms are in an interior courtyard so I expect there is no difference - there is a staircase and rooms are up or down so if you have any mobility challenges then ask for a downstairs room - perhaps there is a lift (elevator in US) but i did not notice one.”
