We booked a double room for 2 nights and were utterly satisfied with our choice. Both the place and neighborhood seemed quiet and secure. The owners were both very friendly and everything was very well kept, tidy and clean.
Our room was next to the receptions and windows facing the street / guards room. Indeed there was a bit of noise - I think guards´ walkie-talkies or something. However it wasn´t bad enough to interrupt our sleep. And I personally anyway always have ear-plugs on the trip - but not sure if I was using those in San Benito.
Although we arrived around 6-7 pm, we decided to go for some food nearby. The area of restaurants etc is close to the hotel, there are plenty of places within 5-10 minutes walk. We piked up the first place we saw, Cadejo Brewing Company. Had some very good beer and food there, really liked the place. Walked back to Suites San Benito around 9-10 pm - are was quite deserted, but felt safe.
The breakfast in San Benito is quite simple, but still good to keep you going until lunch. And I really liked the swimming pool. Was very nice to plunge into the chilling water after sweaty day of sightseeing. Nice rest area around the pool as well.
Free wifi was also fast and worked well.
Overall we liked the place. Fair price, nice place, good deal.

Recommended if you´re looking for some good place for decent price in the safe neighborhood of El Salvador.

At the heart of San Salvador, these suites offer spacious rooms and especially a great location for long stays.
Decoration and furniture is basic, but well kept. Breakfast is simple but good, served by the pool, overlooking the city and a green volcano. Overall, location, location and location with spacious rooms are the main assets of these suites.

When checking into the hotel there seemed to be confusion and I had to wait a bit. Then they said I was "upgraded" to the building across the street. Unfortunately no one who worked in the building I was moved to spoke English. The room was very large and clean and the shower was great. There must be a night club or something nearby, because loud dance music was blasting until the middle of the night. Not the best after a long flight. The breakfast was very large.

I cant understand the previous review which said this hotel was terrible. we have found the owners incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotlessly clean, breakfast was included and there is a swimming pool. Sure, its not the cheapest place in Central America but it is in Zona Rosa which is one of the safest areas in San Salvador, close to great restaurants, bars, and clubs.

I was here in november for one night, the hotel is in the street with noise and alarm all the night. Very bad breakfast and you have to pay to eat something good. The worst hotel in 20days of vacation in centre america. The owner are not friendly people.

My family and I booked this place for 2 weeks, at the time my son was 3 months old and was sick when we left for our trip . The first night my son started crying in the middle of the night and no matter what we did we couldn’t make him stop crying he cried for about 10 minutes and stopped. The next day as we were leaving for the day to visit family I got stopped by the owner and she angrily told me because of my son crying two man decided to leave the suits and it was unacceptable for her to loose business over a baby that cried all night. I apologized and told her my son is sick and he did not cried all night I said he was settled after 10 minutes, she said the nice young men wanted to stay in the suits for 2 days in a quiet place but because of your son they left. Yet 4 days after a couple had an argument in the suit next to mine at 230 in the morning it lasted all night and when I brought it to her attention the next morning she said she did not receive any other complaints but mine. The rest of my stay I got nothing but dirty looks and rude comments about loud kids. The staff were friendly and helpful but the owners are something else. The day I was checking out she was sweet a pie with a fake smile and told me she was happy I had stayed there and to write a good review so more people can stay in her suits. This place is not kid friendly.

We stayed in an apartment and it was the best decision, very safe, excellent location, clean, safe parking, there are things to improve, but I would return with my family, the kitchen was the only thing that had already ruined the furniture, but the appliances were good
