Detailed Reviews

From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with the highest guest service standards!
The quaint, contemporary but cozy hotel not only has great accommodations but a wonderful restaurant which was recently featured and rated among the best restaurants in the city of San Salvador.
Moderately priced but extremely clean and equipped with everything to ensure a wonderful stay, this contemporary little jewel is worth the visit!
The Chef and Owner, Gustavo Ramos, originally from Colombia, has developed delicious appetizers like the grilled octopus (to die for) and tasty entrees like the coffee wood smoked salmon on a plantain puree which sent our senses directly to culinary ecstasy central!
It has a small bar for traditional cocktails and I would venture to say that as they grow, they will
probably grow their spirit selection as well.
The hotel is literally nestled in beautiful and well kept gardens and amazing vegetation inside and out.
It is perfect for business travel. I must warn you that there is zero privacy in the bathrooms since they are enclosed by see through clear glass 360o's and I would say that it was the only huge negative thing since my partner and I were not at that level of intimacy as to share and fully disclose, share and display our #2!
The bathroom also has a skylight that at night is awesome to look at but as the sun rises, especially if you want to rest or sleep late, is definitely not the best idea but, for a business traveler that loves to rise with the sun, then it is certainly perfect!
It is extremely quiet, peaceful and Centrally located in the heart of a very safe area of San Salvador.
Take a look at the photos and I'm sure that they will be worth a thousand words and back up my review.

To my husband "boutique" means small. The room was tight but the two beds made up for the lack of space. There was a closet, a refrig, hair dryer, bottles of water, coffee maker and the like which was nice. Are you waiting for the "but"? No space by the sink to put your Dop kit - one of my pet peeves - and only one suitcase holder but we didn't ask for another either. Great shower and a spa we didn't use, ditto the TV. A/C worked great almost too great as it blew across the head of the beds. The neighborhood was lovely but as the hotel didn't have a restaurant we used the one across the street. However, bring your Spanish dictionary as the menu had no English equivalents. Staff at hotel full of smiles and Kiki spoke English. Breakfast came with our booking but if you are a tea drinker stick with the O.J.

The food was tasteless and they don't even put salt and pepper on the table. The rooms lacked privacy as the toilet was separated from the bed by a clear glass wall. If your partner goes to the bathroom, they can't have any privacy! Also, the entrance to the sauna is visible from the restaurant tables. The windows are also tiny, so the rooms feel claustrophobic.

My family and I had a the pleasure of staying at this brilliantly designed, fantastically run hotel for 1 night between xmas and New Year and we loved it, such a better option than staying at one of the bigger mainstream hotels. Sadly we didn't get to have an evening meal as the german restaurant across the road had a bit of xmas event going on so we went there instead but if the breakfast is anything to go by then the dinner is going to be outstanding. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Tucked away in the city center burbs, this spot is well worth discovering.
Only 7 rooms, plus a small 1 room "spa"--a sauna and massage area all in one room. How cool and efficient is that...very!
Dittos on hotel being ultra-clean, comfy, and hosted by staff that treat you like one of the familia.
An oasis for the biz traveller, as it's a great spot to download...and chill out between jaunts around the city of San Salvador or the country of El Salvador...or just arriving from some other place on Earth.
Try to be here when one those thunder, lightening, and rain combos roll into the area. Crazy and awesome show of Mother Nature--while relaxing in the comfort of Sal y Luz!
What about the Sol y Luz restaurant?! A must do while in San Salvador. Compact menu and wine "list" that works for this boutique hotel. Share both apps and main courses! Order a bottle of wine and sit outside on the patio during a soft rain. Fresh food tasefulluly executed by Chef and staff. Unreal value.
Stop by. You will return!
