SHORT VERSION - CASA INTI:
EXCELLENT Price - especially for its quality (rooms range from $10/pp for a Shared Dorm to $22-$35 for Private Rooms all with Private Bathrooms with Hot Water Shower& slipproof tile floors) • Nice POOL • Great Location in the upscale neighborhood of Las Colinas (8 minutes to Hospital Metropolitano Vivían Pellas) . • . Good WiFi • Great Hosts • Very Clean . • . Tranquilo!

MEGA DETAILED VERSION:
Recently I decided to get some medical tests done in Nicaragua because I knew the prices would be LOTS cheaper than in Costa Rica.I heard about this AWESOME Medical Discount program at the VERY world class Hospital Pellas called MediMas (you pay $10/month 1st person & $6 each additional & you get amazing prices on many services. Like doctor visit for just $5!!!! Tourists can join this for a month. I had a whole panel of blood tests for $78!! The Thyroid Biopsy was $100 less than Costa Rica's similar discounted plan & more!!!

So I was looking for a place that was #1 CHEAP & #2 close to the hospital.
MANY on the facebook groups said it couldn't be done but boy were they WRONG!!! Someone shared CASA INTI just 8 minutes from the hospital.Leyla & her hubby Inti are there to help along with their precious 11/2 year old son Thiago who can't help but bring a smile to your face - in their lovely 9 room family home that´s surrounded by lush greenery in this very safe neighborhood of Colinas - a very upscale area with many beautiful homes & embassy's.

They're happy to help you with transportation be it a taxi to go nearby or for touring.

It truly feels like you're staying with family
(FYI: Thiago is very unobtrusive & well behaved!)

SHARED DORM ROOM They have one NICE "Shared Room" (dorm) with a Twin bunk bed & 2 twin beds & a Private Bathroom with a large shower (since no one was there the 3 nights I stayed so I had the whole room to myself!!)! There's even the option for AirConditioning (+$3/night) & there's a door in the room that opens outto a nice POOL area & is just off the parking space.

PRICE: All this for just $10/night per person.

BEDDING•BED . Normally when I travel I bring my own sheet & pillow but since I was initially going for just one night from San Juan del Sur & didn't want to bring more than just my day backpack so I didn't!
Their sheets were AWESOME!! Very soft/sensuous. The bed was literally one of the most comfortable I've been in (& I've slept in a LOT of beds [I do travel writing & pet sitting hahaha]).

SHOWERS: All showers have HOT WATER (HW is NOT so easy to find in this price range especially), are spacious showers & have a slipproof tile floor!

ATTENTION TO DETAILS: There are SCREENS ON WINDOWS • one of those screens to protect your things from going down the bathroom sink drain • thick curtains that help keep a room dark so you don't have to wake when the sun comes up between 5:3-6am!!

AIR CONDITIONING: Each room has an airconditioner that you can use for just +$3 a day more (I find lots of places charge +$10/day as electricity is VERY expensive in Nicaragua) but I didn't need it.

POOL:. Casa Inti has a nice size pool that's just warm enough for my body (I'm a wimp when it comes to cold). LOTS of tables, chairs & chaise lounges around the pool & even a Rancho with some hammock chairs!! The pool is VERY welcoming as Managua's HOT HOT HOT!!!

WIFI . WiFi worked really well from my bed (where I work from) & throughout the house.

They have GAMES, Beer, Water, Chill Spaces for guests to enjoy in the 6 COMMON SPACES, 3 inside, the large pool area with lots of tables, chairs, chaise lounges • the outdoor Rancho with a couple hammocks chairs & table/chairs or the outside breakfast area by the fountain. Nice Tranquilo jazz style music plays in the background of the Common areas during the day.

PETS: 1 lovable inside Cat (Amokachi) & 1 sweetie outside Dog (Gordo) both so loving & affectionate! (so no additional pets)

RATES:
• . Private Rooms with Private Bathroom range from $22-$33 & ALL rooms have a private bathroom.
• . Shared Room with Private Bathroom $10/per person.

SUMMARY: This is a beautiful home for people liking a relaxing chill time & feel like they haven't left home!!

Tell them Vicki Connected you
(FYI I get NOTHING from sharing this I just love DETAILS & sharing things I like!!)
(I went for 1 night and ended up staying 4 nights and when I return for more tests you better believe I´ll be returning to Casa Inti from my medical tests!!)

Pictures to come once I can get to place with good internet

Inti, and all the staff encountered not only did an excellent job at running their business but an even better job at being caring, real human beings. They felt like family. Even the staff I had a language barrier with, our smiles back and forth said more than any small talk could ever accomplish. A warm, hospitable place I will return to if I'm ever back in Managua. I had my phone stolen arriving into the city and Inti expressed his compassion by lending me his personal tablet so that I could continue working the 4 nights I stayed on premises.

Thank you so much Casa Inti,
Cody

Great place with a huge garden with lots of green. Neighborhood is safe. Staff is wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Lots of parking spots available and a nice refreshing pool. After lots of different places we've stayed in Managua, we definitely choose Casa Inti to be the best!

I have stayed at Casa Inti many times for short and long periods of time in the past years. I have stayed recently this month at Casa Inti for 10 days. This place really feels like home!! It is situated in one of the safest neighbourhood of Managua and the staff is friendly and very helpful. Inti and Leyla are incredible hosts and make sure their guests enjoy their stay to the fullest. They arrange taxi transfers to and from the airport that are super reliable. The pool and the garden are just great bonus. They make you not want to leave this little heaven in Managua.

This hotel is an old converted house situated on a gorgeous property. The staff are very friendly, helpful and happy. There's a pool which is great in the heat here. It is close to the airport and a 20min walk to a neat food truck park. We will be returning here when we are in Managua.

The staff is great, helpful and kind.
The rooms are outdated and the pool is not clean. I suppose that's why the price is so low. Positive is also that you can use the fridge and the kitchen.
It is good stay if you can accept pretty outdated rooms.

Fantastic place, breakfast was the best I have had in Nicaragua, very attentive owner, any silly questions I had were answered with a smile. These guys know hospitality and I should know because i'm in the business. The gardens are beautiful, full of birds and flowers and the rooms are big and comfortable. The communal areas are inviting and I just wanted to try them all out. There is a honesty bar to get you beers and water, very reasonable prices. The pool is just what you need on a hot day in a tropical city.I can just keep going on about this place but I think you just have to try it to belive it.

We had the best stay here. We had been traveling for a month and wanted a couple of days of R & R before our long journey home. We couldn’t be happier we chose here!
Inti is a very welcoming and helpful host, and all of his staff are lovely. We felt at home here right away. The breakfast is very tasty for the price and kept us full long past lunchtime.
If we are ever back in Managua we will definitely stay here again. Five stars!
