I booked this hotel last minute based on the trip advisor reviews. For $55 a night it is a great place. Small boutique hotel in Las Colinas with a couple bistros and cafes within walking distance. The pool was NOT clean (it was green) which was a disappointment, otherwise the grounds were very beautiful. If you want a clean place...

We have been staying at Villa Maya many times over the past several months and the thing that we like most about the place is their friendliness and personal service. They are very accommodating with special requests, and always with a smile. The rooms are always very clean with no bugs or anything. It is an older converted home that...

The hotel is located in a very safe and quiet area, I've felt at home because the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The pool and gardens are beautiful and it feels like to be in an oasis in the capital Managua. The rooms are spacious and nicely furnished with Guatemalan textiles that you can also buy at the gift...

This hotel is actually a big house, the rooms are well equipped but old. The bathroom amenities are very scarce and I had mosquitos in my room, not a lot but more than a few. It includes wifi and two options of breakfast, the local one, more abundant or a small continental breakfast. It has a small pool and the...

The staff at the hotel are respectful, friendly, and competent. We had a beautiful room, with a view of the swimming pool. The only suggestion I would make would be to make the swimming pool available. When we arrived it was a sweltering day, but the pool had the cover on it. It would have been nice to have a...

We needed a place to stay in Managua before our flight back to the States and found this little gem through Tripadvisor. It turned out to be one of those "finds" we are always looking for. Charming and tastefully decorated inside and lushly landscaped on the outside with many fun and interesting places to explore and admire throughout. The staff...

This is a lovely place. Very comfortable, and the prearranged dinner we had there was great. However, there is not much in the immediate area to walk to. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and the staff was very attentive and helpful. They had someone pick us up and return us to the airport. Charming Boutique Hotel in Managua. The rooms remodeled colonial house with a beautiful tropical garden and swimming pool. It counts with a total of nine private rooms, all with private bathrooms, water heated with solar energy, air conditioning, TV with cable, wireless internet, working desks, alarm clocks, telephones, security boxes, etc. Some of them have their own private balcony that opens to the garden and/or swimming pool. The hotel: An Oasis in the city. Our location is ideally for everybody: We are steps away from the city but not in the city! So if you have business downtown, it is a 10 min drive. But if you want to enjoy nature, have a tranquil time to relax and be pampered, Villa Maya is the perfect place. We are close to national attractions (Volcan Masaya, 10 min drive, Granada, 30 min drive) and local malls, shops and the best restaurants (Galerias Santo Domingo) in Managua just 5 min away. The owners: We are a mature couple with over 30 years together. Vilma is an artist from Guatemala and Luis is a lawyer from Nicaragua. Both met and studied at UC Berkeley in the Bay Area in California. Our goal is to provide a boutique hotel option for Managua giving a personalized service to all of our guests while ensuring that our operations are respectful with the environment.*Breakfast a la carte ... more   less
