We stayed at Hotel Contempo on a couple of occasions recently while visiting friends.What an oasis! Stylishly beautiful premises, cute pool for doing laps and each room was different but swish, very comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful including with transfers to and from the airport.

The facilities are nice BUT they are lacking good service, It’s just just not there. Let me tell you from the beginning this place is NOT LGBTQ friendly, I spent a night here with my partner and the staff was very rude and kept looking at us in a very judgmental way, nobody gave us that welcoming feeling you expect from a place where you visit for the first time specially if you’re paying for the service and expect great things. From the beginning there were many issues. As a 5-star Hotels Forbes Trainer I can tell you they need to fix many things 1. The front desk staff is NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE about packages and what’s included in the price I booked my reservation online and never received any confirmations nor any details via email, I had to call the hotel and ask for them to process the reservation. Again the front desk lady knew nothing about it and had me call Marjorie? For more details. 2. They did not give me any details about breakfast when checking in and we missed it. The front desk Lady was rude and dismissive she did not provide any details about the services and where to find stuff around the hotel. 3. They did not give us the welcome cocktail 4. I asked for a different wine than the one included in the package and even though they couldn’t change it for free, they still did not offer me another option even as an extra cost, which I would’ve pay for if offered 5. During dinner, the server was so worried about 2 men enjoying their romantic package that she messed up my order and brought the wrong plate (never apologized for it) 6. The servers at Azul are rude and just not welcoming. Customer Service it’s just not present, it’s just plain rude and horrible service. In the end they have the facilities and they’re nice but they’re lacking great staff and great service. NOT recommended at all specially if you’re local, if I ever come back it might be just because of the American set up they have in most of the facilities but not because I was happy during my stay.…

The staff are friendly and bilingual (english and spanish). They are attentive to all of our needs everytime we come visit Managua to update our tourist visas (Covid-19). The grounds are immaculate and we love the peace and serenity of the outdoor areas. The included breakfast is a great touch as well.

We stayed at Hotel Contempo a few years ago so when we had to travel back to Managua it was a great choice. Plus, so many other options are shut down. The manager was welcoming and friendly and everyone spoke English. Although it was quiet, as expected, it was still lovely. The pool and gym were great, and they even put a mini-fridge in our room. Within walking distance is the supermarket, beauty salon and restaurants. During these Times of Covid, we felt safe and walked out happy. Well done.

The Hotel Contempo is our favorite Hotel when visiting Managua, not only the Hotel has an elegant Restaurant that serves great food but, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. I particularly enjoy the garden and the little gazebo, which I used every morning for my daily meditation. The Staff is very Professional and helpful, special Thank you to Margorie, Marlon, Angelica, Edwin, Carlos and the Cleaning crew, they all make you feel at home. The location is ideal, you will find a grocery store (La Colonia), A professional coin operated Laundry with nice AC in "Las Praderas" Shopping Center, and many Restaurants and Coffee Shops, all within a ten minutes walk plus, the National Zoo is only 5 KM from this Hotel, which we highly recommend you visit and, the Masaya Volcano only 10 Km. Once again, we recommend The Hotel Contempo for short or long term stay. "The Mango Suite" is our favorite, there are other Suites that are as comfortable. Recently enjoyed a week at Hotel Contempo and were once again impressed with the experience. Very comfortable rooms, all with unique touches. Ours boasted a private patio which we really enjoyed. Very attentive staff. Obviously a family run business that treats their employees as family too. When we needed anything, all we had to do was ask and it was promptly taken care of. Highly recommended!

Hi, My wife and I spent 8 nights in this lovely property while starting a new company in Managua. As 30 plus years hotel/ restaurant owners in Costa Rica, we know what a traveler enjoys and this hotel fits the bill nicely. From the beginning when the reservations department gave me Angelica's number for the Special Corporate rate to our check out 8 days later everything was managed fabulously. The Free Hot Cooked Breakfast server fro 7 to 10:30 was spot on and we ate in the restaurant and had room service 5 or 6 times and all the food served was top notch, along with very fair prices. Can't recommend this property enough, book you will be pleased. Thank you to all of the hotel staff for an outstanding stay and we will be returning in the near future as our business demands. This hotel offers a tranquil ambience that allows guests to relax and enjoy their stays or meals. Their cuisine offers a good variety of tasty local or international foods all individually prepared with fresh ingredients . Each of their guest rooms all have different designs and features that give the hotel its unique character. The high ceiling dining room makes one feel like they are in a tropical garden as guests can gaze through its wall size windows to its interior tropical plants, flowers and trees. The Contempo’s location is also ideal for an easy access to downtown or for trips to other locations. Most of the staff do speak some English and this makes it easier to get advice for particular needs of foreigners. The hotel will occasionally have musicians come to perform in evenings or play its recorded music and gives this hotel its charm. Their lap pool & outdoor covered exercise area Can keep their clientele in shape. The hotel also offers their own taxi and valet service for guests’ vehicles. The reason I stayed here is because it was close to the places I needed to go The hotel was empty, we had the whole place and pool to ourselves. The rooms were a very nice size but the setup of the room was all over the place. They have a bathtub with a shower head with no curtains. I can tell there were trying to hard to have a modern contemporary look in the rooms but nothing flowed evenly. Also, since Managua is very hot, scorpions are very common. We found a scorpion by the mini fridge. I couldn’t sleep thinking there was scorpions in the area. Not the hotels fault, but it’s something to keep in mind and check the room for these critters. Also, breakfast is included with the room and it was very good. The people working there are very pleasant and always willing to help. …
