When visiting the bar, make sure you are aware of the local currency exchange rate to the US Dollar. The bar staff will try to give you change in local currency, and will attempt to rip you off. My suggestion is to have the front desk break larger bills for you, and not to use any higher bills to pay.

My family and I enjoy staying at the Hyatt Place Galleria very much. The entire staff, from front desk to restaurant crew to cleaning staff are all very professional while being courteous, friendly, and accommodating. Everyone made us feel welcome and appreciated.
The rooms are comfortable and clean. The buffet breakfast always has plenty of good choices for my entire family. I recommend The Hyatt Place Galleria to all who plan a trip to Managua

My husband and I stayed at Hyatt Managua for a friends wedding and it really was a great hotel. First, the location of it is very convenient to the mall which gives you an option of finding a place to eat without having to drive. Second, they offer a taxi service with a reasonable price to the airport which is huge. We went for a quick trip so didn’t get to do some tourism things but I bet they could help arrange some type of transportation. The employees were great, sweet and very helpful. They offer room service till 11. We would definitely stay here again.

It is a brand new world for the hotel industry.
Right now only the brave and desperate are trying try to rise to the challenge of keeping their hotels open, and meeting guest expectations.
Sadly the majority will fail. And as annoying and frustrating it is, I will try not to judge.
However, a few small things. If you have to keep the hotel running with just a few staff members, inform your guests of what to expect exactly, under the circumstances.
If you are going to turn the hot water down to lukewarm to save a few bucks, we understand, but do alert us before we book a room.
Breakfast was an afterthought, not worth offering- running out of bacon is inexcusable (considering the Hiper Colonia right next door).
Possibly keep a few more lights on in the lobby and restaurant area, you aren’t saving much on electricity that way, and it’s downright creepy.
If you really want to save electricity costs, run the pool pumps for only one hour a day, it makes a HUGE difference.
Otherwise the rooms are nice and big, bed is super comfy, and the location is prime, right next to the biggest mall in Managua.
I would book again, but not enthusiastically, particularly under these circumstances.

My husband and I recently went on a vacation to Nicaragua. We stayed our first two nights and our last night at the Hyatt Place Managua. What a beautiful property in a great location! We were delighted to stay here - comfortable and very clean rooms, handy access to Galerias Santo Domingo, a delicious and plentiful breakfast and a top notch staff. Though the staff, without exception, stand out we would like to single out Manuel. Manuel is exceptional. He remembered us between visits (over more than two weeks), welcomed us warmly and made sure that we were assigned a very quiet room (as requested). He is a great example of professionalism, superior customer service and a great positive attitude. Hyatt is lucky to have him!!!!!!! Thanks Hyatt and thank you Manuel!

I have stayed at Hyatt hotels from Mendoza, Argentina to Cartagena and Mexico City and have always been treated with respect until the Hyatt Managua. The male managers at this hotel front desk were rude and did not greet me as a Hyatt World member. I expect better treatment from a Hyatt hotel. This hotel which used to be friendly to me, but it seems that much has changed, although the female desk attendant was very kind and helpful to me on our second day. She should be the manager.
The Hotel building is relatively new in an excellent location near the upscale Galerias Santo Domingo mall. The rooms are very comfortable however the shower water pressure and temperature fluctuate dramatically and there was no water pressure our second night. The hallway carpet appeared to be soiled with some small pieces of trash. The breakfast was fine, presenting a nice variety of food choices as well as delicious coffee, but once again, the wait staff was not very friendly except towards their Latino guests. Don’t be fooled—like me—by the Hyatt label as this hotel has changed much like the rest of Nicaragua in the way that people are greeted from the United States.

Really pleased with this hotel, the room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was super impressive. Overall we would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. The location is good too, it is not that far from the airport and you can take a visit to the live volcano within 20 minutes.

My husband stayed in the hotel for several months and was really pleased with his stay. I got to visit him a few times and also enjoyed my stay. The hotel was nicely located near the galleria and a grocery store. It has a gym and an indoor pool. The hotel offers breakfast in the morning that had many choices (sweet or savory). We had the opportunity to eat dinner at the hotel and the food was excellent (kudos to Chef David!). The staff in the hotel is very courteous and friendly. We particularly liked our housekeeper "Jacqueline" who cleaned our room during our stay. She is an honest person and hard working person. If we do come back to Managua, we will definitely come back to the Hyatt.

The Hyatt Place is extremely convenient as it is attached by walkway to the Las Gallerias mall in Managua. As I did not want to search for and taxi to hotels in the dark the location was perfect. However booking late had it's price as I overpaid (by double) what the hotel room would have/should have normally cost. Plan ahead and book ahead!

Went to Managua for 2 days and stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my children. The staff was really attentive to needs and the hotel is situated right next to the Galerias mall and restaurants which is definitely great for the kids. The only issue I have ( which is not their fault) is a fire next door that made the pool area unusable for a whole day and the next day debris was floating everywhere. Too bad because we went to this hotel to be able to use the amenities. The gym is air-conditioned and has everything you need. The food at the hotel restaurant is excellent and the portions are big. Loved their dessert bar! My kids loved the breakfast buffet and I especially appreciated the detox juice bar. Overall a great stay

Probably not, but you can call ahead to find out, they may be able to accommodate you.
It is a 20 minute drive at a normal speed but if the taxi driver speeds a little bit could be a bit faster because at 5am suggested time to leave the hotel there is no traffic. The latest you should leave the hotel is at 5:30am to get there before 6am because you are flying to the US flights are full always and there is a big line in the counter to consider.

There is a 50% chance. I recently organized a cab from the hotel to pick me up from the airport. Received plenty of confirmation only to realize that the taxi wasn't there at my arrival. Can services are provided by a third party, that doesn't seem reliable.
