Stayed here for 4 nights. Very helpfull staff at the frontdesk! Rooms, communal bathrooms and the kitchen where fine :) Lots of communal chill area's, even a pingpong tabel. Self-bake pancakes are a good breakfast. We thought the location was great, near a busstop that goes to the main busstation for 0,25$. You can do a walk allong the coast...

My friend Ema and I stayed at Mamallena hostel in Panama and it was awesome. The staff were all great, super helpful and friendly- especially Brandon and Will! Easy to get around the city in just a short taxi ride, great cosy rooms and clean hostel. They also have an eco lodge that I would love to go to next...

Difficult to rate this place, because some things were very good and some werextra pretty bad. Positive: Great, lovely staff who will do anything to help you and really go the extra mile no matter what's it about. Good and bad: Location. It's good in the way that casco viejo and miraflores are a rather short taxi ride away and...

The hostel and staff were amazing. The location is prime as it is a few blocks from the boardwalk and less than $8 cab ride to Casco Viejo, Amador, and the Hard Rock areas. The crew at the hostel were super polite and helpful offering not only advice on what to explore but also helping coordinate the adventures. Everyone that...

A pretty much faultless hostel with very friendly staff who were knowledgeable and helpful on a number of things. Tours, local directions and transport, lost baggage reclaim from airport to name a few. Newly refurbished, clean facilities. Hostel never felt overcrowded. The relaxing chill out area located at the back is the perfect place to meet fellow travellers!

I stayed 3 nights at Panama City Mamallena. The room was clean and good. The showers were shared and mostly clean. There wasn't any hot water but given the temperatures in Panama - it wasn't necessary. The people were very friendly and the pancakes were good after I had a couple days practice making them. The kitchen is small so...

Renovations are basically over now and its really improved our main entrance, kitchen and social areas, we now have a lot more space for all of that and have been able to add a pingpong table to the hostel! We arent with walking distance to everything you need to see in Panama City but neither are most hostels, you need...
