Le Meridien is undoubtedly a rare gem in vibrant Panama City. We enjoyed a beautiful Oceanview room for our seven nights stay. But, it's really the people who work there that make it a great place to stay. Monica in Guest Services actually made us feel like VIP's with her attentiveness and caring attitude. She is an asset to Le Meridien Panama and is definitely a keeper! As for the daily buffet breakfast....the food was delicious and there were new and fresh menu items daily. It was a great way to start each day!

Extremely intrusive and petty. Even though paid in full with credit card at reception and having a $10 per day credit, female full figured Mgr called my room over $2.68 to come down and pay immediately. Further on checkout, hotel attempted to omit my credit and charge me $10.70 for a soup…knowing they would likely attempt this, I checked out at front desk and had to wait while desk called a Mgr for my daily credit , then was charged the 70 cents. Had I done auto checkout, I would’ve been screwed since disputing from usa would be ludicrous given that it’s $3 a minute to call Panamá. Lots of hotels to stay without this 2 star treatment.

We didn't spend the night here because upon arriving into the room we noticed a terrible musty smell. I've been Titanium Elite for almost 8 years in a row. I travel a lot and have seen a lot. The musty smell always makes me nervous about bed bugs so we immediately inspected the 2 queen mattresses in the room. The mattresses were absolutely disgusting. Dark red stains all over the place. To me, it looked like bed bugs so we got out of there. The rooms are very old with carpeting so we were not taking any chances. We ran down to the kids room to get them. 1 mattress was clean and the other looked just like the 2 in our room. Went down to the front desk to let them know. The manager was very nice and allowed us to leave. However, we had booked with a certificate and the next hotel didn't have the correct amount of points. Obviously, we also needed to book 2 rooms very last minute so we ended up spending an extra $600 on this trip that we didn't budget for. Despite being Titanium, Marriott did absolutely nothing for me! No compensation whatsoever! I hope you read this and think twice about this hotel. The manger emailed me the next day to say housekeeping said no bed bugs. Even if there weren't any bed bugs, I would never sleep on such a mattress. So gross!…

Wanted to give a big thumbs up to Le Meridien Panama. We chose the hotel via Delta Vacations and it was definitely a good decision. The team at Le Meridien starting with Mrs.Ruth the front office Manager, Mrs.Odelis the restaurant Manager and Mr.Jonathan, Mr.Oscar and Mr.Mike at the restaurant were all wonderful employees who made our stay very welcome and very pleasant. Each one of them was attentive and helpful in their area of work. We really felt nice and at home during the entire stay. Thanks.

Great hotel with great staff, My wife and I was in the city for work and we stayed here for 10 days. Great location close to a lot of great places for meals, a grocery store about 4 blocks away, The in house restaurant was also very good, The manager (Ruth) check us in when we arrived and each time she saw us she remember our names. We had a view of the bay. We will stay here again if sent back.

Only stayed one night for a quick layover but would absolutely return for a stay. Great breakfast buffet. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Did not use any amenities so can’t comment on that. There was a small rooftop pool. Got a room upgrade to executive suite, beautiful room!

The Le Meridien Panama Hotel is one of the best bargains to be found in Panama City. When we made our reservation at the Le Meridien it had the best price (for the quality of the rooms) of the Marriott brand hotels. Many rooms were $500/night or more. We love the location. Easy walking to many of the best restaurants in the City. However, there is no need to go out as the hotel has an excellent dining area. One common complaint is the Executive Lounge is closed. Okay, so what? As Marriott Elite members, we were offered free breakfast every morning and a free cocktail hour in the evening. The rooms are large and comfortable. Plenty of space for me to "set up my office" and work online while enjoying the comforts of being at home. The front desk and the restaurant both have English-speaking staff (not an issue for us) who are extremely friendly and very helpful. We prefer rooms on the higher floors. Some rooms have an ocean/partial ocean view. There is a gym for those who like to work out, a spa for those who want to be pampered, and a pool for those who like to make a splash in life. Maybe I shouldn't write such a good review, I certainly don't want to make this place so popular that it will be difficult to get a room in the future. …

My wife and i really enjoyed staying here. It was our first trip to Panama City. Great value, great location, helpful staff. Water front view from our room, walking distance to good restaurants, roof top pool was very nice. I would highly recommend it.

Second visit to Panama, we had a great stay for a full week at Le Meridien. Location is amazing with gorgeous views of the water, marina, sky scrapers, and Casco Viejo to the side, we enjoyed viewing fireworks on a couple of nights from our large picture window. We were able to walk to many restaurants, coffee shop, and even all they way to Casco Viejo a few nights when we didn’t want to take an Uber (which was only $3 from here). We really love the city- so much to do here, yet easy enough to leave from this location for excursions (we did 5 day excursions in total from here, including San Blas islands and Portobelo snorkeling) Room is very spacious for a family of 4, with lots of closet and drawer space. You can hear a little traffic from the Main Street (worthwhile trade off for the exceptional view) and I am a light sleeper yet I slept like a baby! The bed and pillows set you up for a dreamy slumber and I am incredibly fussy about beds and pillows. Gym and pool- gym was more than sufficient with a decent view when using the treadmill. Pool is small and closes early- a bit of a shame as there is a nice covered patio area. Water was a little cold but refreshing, we took advantage after returning from excursions before going out for the evening. Would love to see it left open until 9 or 10 pm. Restaurant food was very good, we enjoyed a buffet breakfast every morning. Didn’t try for dinner as we were always out. Now, for the best part- the front desk staff! Absolutely the best! So helpful from the first night- changing our room to a higher floor when we asked, giving us guidance and recommendations for tours, restaurants, directions, and getting us extra robes and towels for the pool. They even helped us with changing our SIM cards as we didn’t understand the Spanish instructions! They also prepared and sent us off with a packaged breakfast on one day when we had to leave at 5:00 am for San Blas. Always friendly, always offering assistance, service was top notch here! This really contributed to our family having a trip that was perfection, can’t wait to go back!…
