We had a lovely stay at Las Clementinas. The location is a great home base for exploring Casco Viejo and Panama City. The neighborhood felt safe, lively, and comfortable. The suites are quite large and it was nice to have room to spread out, a place to eat, and a full kitchen at our disposal. The roof deck was a great surprise, with comfortable seating and a great place to see the skyline at night. The hotel's restaurant and garden were great as well. It was easy to communicate with the front desk staff via WhatsApp in advance of our stay and while we were in Panama City. We also appreciated their help in arranging transportation to the airport.
Staff is very friendly and attentive both in the hotel as well as in the restaurant. We stayed a couple of nights as the hotel is nicely located in Old Town. The on-site restaurant has excellent, reasonably priced food, both dinners and breakfast. Nice rooftop patio with great views. Bring up your own beverage and snacks.
Fantastic spacious hotel in the center of the historic district. Loved the rooms with kitchens and lots of space to spread out. Attached to a great little resturant which we ate breakfast at almost everyday. Very safe and secure location with a variety of resturants in walking distance.
Perfect location for our trip to explore Casco Viejo! So unique to have our own spacious apartment for full kitchen- great for a family. Walkability to everything, only used Uber for far away excursions. Restaurant attached was excellent and many other options nearby. One night it was a bit noisy with discos nearby, but gave us a city feeling. Grocery store nearby if wanting to not eat out the whole time. The rooftop was the best in the city, we didn’t discover it until the end, unfortunately. Great space to have a beer and watch the sun set. We had our kids, aged 7 and 10 with us and they agreed it was the best hotel!
The hotel accommodations were excellent - quiet sleeping, comfortable bed, helpful staff, kitchenette well equipped, air conditioning worked well and the shower magnificent. I recommend staying here and will come back. The attached restaurant, Mahalo, has excellent selections of beverages and foods. The breakfast burrito and fish sandwiches are first class. The best burrito I have ever had.
We had significant travel delays and the management was so patient and helpful in accommodating our changes in our reservation. To make up for all the travel frustrations, the manager Isabelle upgraded our room to an apartment which was incredible spacious and nicely decorated. She also helped us find our bags that had been missing for over 5 days. The bed was very comfortable and Mahalo, the restaurant adjacent to the hotel was amazing. We did have some noise from nearby clubs, but I was so tired it didn't affect my sleep.
Loved my stay at Las Clemintinas. More like a cozy apartment than a hotel room. Beauiful furnishings. Full kitchen stocked with tea and coffee, Spanish tiles in the shower. I wish i had stayed longer, but was just passing through for a few nights. Ive stayed in many hotels in Panama City over the years, and this was by far my favorite. Friendly and attentive staff, centrally located in Casco Viejo, and to top it all off, Mahalo, the restaurant on the bottom floor is excellent. Enjoyed cocktails in the evening and delicious breakfast in the garden in the mornings. Highly recommend.
This hotel / apartment block has nice rooms. Initially I stayed in room 5 which is very spacious, and I slept really comfortably there. Then I changed to room 9…. . It’s beautifully decorated room but I did not get more than 3 hours sleep. It was HELL. I had earplugs in, two pillows over my head and my own radio playing to block out noise from street but nothing would work. Worst of all I was told upon check in “don’t worry the music stops at 11pm”. I can assure you at 4.30am it was still playing loudly. Then at 8am it starts again from the restaurant downstairs. I checked out as soon as I could and went to a lovely 5 star hotel 10 mins away which was cheaper and so lovely and peaceful.
This place has so much character, with a beautiful apartment, building and garden and so well located to walk and explore the old town area. The restaurant, Mahalo, is also fantastic, and absolutely worthwhile visiting. The staff, especially Paola, were super helpful and kind with any questions I had and also helping me to arrange laundry and day trips out. Unfortunately, I have to also mention that I hardly slept. Loud music was playing till the early hours of the morning, most nights until 4am, from the bars close by. And then there was the noise and music from the restaurant downstairs from 6am when the staff came in and cleaned ready to open for 7am and through the whole day. I stayed from saturday - saturday and even day and night was the same. So disappointing. I stayed in apartment #2.…
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for four nights. The room was spacious, clean, complete with kitchen amenities. We enjoyed the restaurant on the main level (Ma Halo). There is even a garden area which made you feel outside the city. Downside to this hotel......the noise of music to all hours on some nights.
