Our group reserved all the rooms in the hotel for this weekend. We absolutely LOVED your hotel and staff this week. Nashda at the front desk was exceptional! The absolute best every day. The artwork is beautiful and interesting. The housekeeping and bartending staff were very accommodating. We loved it so much that we are already making plans to come back next year.

When I made my reservation, I specifically notified them we were arriving early and requested an early check-in. The standard is 3pm and our plane was arriving at 10:30. When we got the Tantalo (around 11:45) Lizbeth was the receptionist waiting on us. We asked to check into our room and she said check-in is 3pm. I said I know that but requested an early check-in on our booking. She looked up the booking and said, “yes, I see it here but our policy is 3pm check-in.” I asked if the room was ready and she said yes but check-in is 3pm. Lizbeth was very rude, unfriendly, impolite, and showed offensive attitude. So, we walked for 3 hours and came back at EXACTLY 3pm. When I said I wanted to check-in Lizbeth came with the same insolent attitude about check-in. I looked her in the eyes and said, “it is 3:02 and I will be checked into my room NOW!!” She reluctantly complied but took the longest time checking us in. They only appear to be interested in bar & restaurant customers, not hotel guests.…

The food and atmosphere is one of the top choices for casco Viejo. The staff is always super friendly - especially Gio and Kleidi! You will not be disappointed whether you're going for a date night dinner or a fun night out in their rooftop! It's a must stop!

We stayed for 2 nights. Positives: clean room, cool decor in the room; cool rooftop bar with views all around. A huge negative: extremely loud late at night both nights. You know it's bad when the hotel gives every guest, unasked, ear plugs when they check in. The ear plugs were completely useless in blocking sound. At the end of the evening it got even louder. The sound of ever-louder recorded guitar chords that signaled the end of the evening felt it was coming from directly over the bed. You can also hear everything that goes on at the bar and restaurant below because it's all open. More negatives: the entire check-in process. We had asked in advance for early check-in, if possible, and the hotel staff had said sure. Arriving after 18 hours of travel, we were hoping we might be able to check in a bit early. The hotel said go have lunch and come back. We ate at the hotel, so we'd be nearby. After lunch we asked again. Oh about 15 minutes. We walked around nearby. Oh, about 30 minutes. We made another loop of the neighbourhood. This kept on, until we had used up the last bit of energy and just sat at a table between the front desk and the edge of the restaurant. We finally checked in about an hour late. No empathy, no nothing. While we were waiting, the hotel had held onto our luggage. Maybe this is a cultural thing, but our idea of "holding luggage" is to put it in a separate room, ideally locked. Luggage belonging to us and other guests was lined up on the floor at the front of the bar, beside and behind the front desk, accessible to everyone who walks up. What made it worse, the hotel has a living wall of plants behind the front desk. They watered the plants and the dirty water dripped all over our luggage, soaking through my backpack and staining some of my clothes. Another beware: if you're thinking of booking the "deluxe" room, be aware that it's not much larger and you get NOTHING additional. Our friends were in a standard room so we could compare. We hadn't actually wanted the deluxe room, and wow was it not worth the extra! …

Great food and incredible art and rooftop! My friend and I had the best time staying and eating here. The breakfast açaí bowl was amazing, I had it four days in a row. The hotel room was spacious, had unique art, and great air conditioning. The rooftop was also amazing, a sj played great music and it was clearly a popular spot. Highly recommend!

We love the tantalo rooftop bar. They make excellent cocktails and have a happy hour if you arrive before 6. The food is upscale barfood and full meals. It isnt cheap but considering the location and food quality it is a fair price. Very limited seating

Restaurant Review: Our family of 5 adults enjoyed our visit to Tantalo restaurant! We chose the tasting menu which included 5 or 6 courses including 2 glasses of wine per person and an amazing dessert, a great value for our money, very tasty food! Our server, Elkin, was very friendly and provided great service with a smile. After dinner, we took the elevator to the rooftop bar for a drink and a view of the city. I would recommend a visit!

This is a great place for a drink or a meal in Casco Viejo. It's got a hipster vibe, but the staff has always been welcoming to us, a couple in our sixties. Drinks are reasonably priced, and the fusion menu is interesting, tasty, and for Casco Viejo also reasonably priced. The restaurant downstairs is bustling, especially at lunch time, and the rooftop bar has great views over the old city and the towers of the new part of the city.
