We would give this hotel 10 stars if we could- fantastic experience all the way around! Each staff member was super friendly and welcoming and truly happy that you were there. The doorman, front desk, housekeeping, pool bar staff and breakfast workers all were wonderful! The breakfast buffet is not one to miss- fresh flowers on the tables, coffee, tea, juices, tons of fruit, breads, yogurts, made to order omelettes, hot dishes , cereals , granolas - you name it was there and everyone was pleasant to help ! Room was clean and nice- plenty of towels and bottles of water to drink. Hotel was happy to store our bags even before we checked in while we were on an excursion. Upon arrival several days after dropping our bags they knew our names as soon as we arrived! Staff had great recommendations of a few places within walking distance of the hotel which were very good. We loved this hotel and plan to stay again next time we visit Panama City.. Do not hesitate to book a room here - you will not regret it - we loved it!!!…

We don’t think the hotel deserves being a WA and standards were closer towards a Hilton. Our experience wasn’t terrible, the stay was decent and rooms were above average. Housekeeping was stellar with our room cleaned and tidied to a high standard. But beyond that, service was disappointing as we expected more personalised service from the brand. For example, if the same waitstaff could recall our breakfast drink preferences by the third day, or the doorman providing assistance with our uber pick-up. There were also numerous issues during our stay: thin room walls meant we could hear the adjoining room’s alarm at 430am, wifi passcode provided at check-in did not work, limited and repetitive food selection at breakfast, and gym was too warm with water/cups not replenished in the morning. No upgrade was given despite being a Hilton Honors member on Impresario rate (occupancy was low when we stayed). There was also no recognition nor acknowledge of status with zero benefits for Hilton members other than points accrual and water.…

The staff was excellent, breakfast was very nice. The pool and hot tub were good but the gym was wildly overheated for the entire 4 day period. If you want to get a workout in, it is tough to do in in a space that is between 75-85 degrees F. Also, beware of the junior suite by the elevator. Super noisy despite assurances from check in staff

We loved everything about our stay at this lovely hotel, from how we were greeted on arrival to the delicious breakfasts we had on the open-air balcony every morning. The room was large, comfortable, impeccably clean, and super quiet. We especially liked the floor-to-ceiling view (we were on the fifteenth floor). The room is decorated in a soothing gold/beige palette, and the bathroom is enormous, with a fantastic shower. We were greeted every morning at breakfast by a lovely woman who made us feel like she was so happy to see us. You can order your eggs any way you like them, and there are many choices of breakfast options. We did not use the pool, but walked through that area on our way to the restaurant; I thought it was very well laid out, with a significant area that is shaded, where you can simply relax in the warm breezes if you wish. We were only there four night; I wish it had been longer! Another nice thing is that the area around the hotel is fine was walking; we felt very safe even late at night. There are restaurants in the vicinity, as well as a small grocery store and a nice little bar just down a few doors where you can grab a beer and a taco if that's what you're looking for. …

April 7 to 11, 2023- As a monolingual traveler, I was a bit hesitant about visiting Panama- However, 5 star service began at reception! My room and view, absolutely stunning! Finding a hand-written- welcome note in my room was confirmation that I was going to have an amazing trip! The breakfast food selection and main dining balcony made me look forward to breakfast every morning as the view is breathtaking! The staff were professional, attentive and helpful! I'd certainly go back- and I'd definitely stay Waldorf! They truly lived up to the name!

The Waldorf Astoria failed to impress. I understand Panama is a developing country. However, being a Waldorf Astoria there is growth needed in hospitality. As a Hilton diamond member, we frequent Hiltons all over the world. We had planned our vacation around the Waldorf Panama. There was no welcome drink as reported by many outlets. The concierge Lillie is slow (days slow) to email replies. After two emails, I finally called the hotel directly about airport to hotel transportation. In addition, we booked a tour from her and she failed to be transparent in the details. They call it the monkey Island/ rainforest tour. However, it’s more like the “go to the island and search for a monkey tour”. We road around relentlessly trying to find a monkey. And it’s not really a rainforest tour. You take a gondola ride through the canopy of the forest. You’re not allowed to walk in the forest. There were zero animals. It was over $500 for three of us. You can do the same tour on your own for under $200 if you chose. And yes we did ask lots of questions about the tours we booked. We ended canceling the two others and just did the same tours on our own. Housekeeping was hit and miss depending on the day. There was no blow dryer or extra toiletries in the bathroom. That means no Q-tips, no comb, no shaving kit etc. You can’t tell me they were busy, because the place was a ghost town. There was never more than five people at the pool. Most times, we had the pool to ourselves. We were never offered a drink at the pool. You have to go and get it. We did use the pool two afternoons at the Hilton nearby and received excellent service and drinks. It’s the little things that make a hotel memorable. I asked Lillie for 3 pool towels to be brought to the room for our island catamaran cruise. They brought shower towels. Not a big deal, but it’s the Waldorf. At check- in, I specifically asked if I could pay for a room upgrade to a suite with two beds. I was told there was no such room. I asked if there was a king with a sleeper sofa. I was told the hotel did not have suites with two beds. That could be possible, but seems odd for a 5 star hotel. So, don’t go if you need a large room with two beds. It was low season, so the hotel capacity was low. The spa was wonderful. I had a great 90 minute Swedish massage. Peacock Alley had great food, drinks, and service. The nachos, meatballs, soup, and churros were delicious. Outstanding team members: Oliver (At the door) was attentive and amazing! Gina is a gem. She is very sweet and great at her job. Carla at breakfast was a pleasant surprise. She was happy and very efficient at her job. The young man making omelettes was great. Overall, it’s a nice hotel. After staying in different hotels all over Panama for the last two weeks it was great to spend the end of the trip here. Just a gorgeous hotel. We'll stay here again next time we're in Panama City. The beds were the most comfortable we've had this entire trip.

Beautiful hotel. All employees very nice and helpful. Had a great breakfast - lots to choose from and made to order omelets. We walked and used Ubers while there to go to places in Panama City. Panamanians are very friendly people. We stayed 3 nights and then left to go to EL Valle (over 2 hours away). We were planning to find a hotel near the canal when we came back to Panama City but decided to go back to the Waldorf. Highly recommend this hotel.

Rooms are nice size and the breakfast buffet is great. Other than that everything is a bit of a disappointment. I would stay at the Hilton or the W when returning as this is not a high end hotel. Pool area is too small and the rooms are very dated. Staff is unfriendly and not helpful. Stay somewhere else in Panama. Wings looked half eaten when arriving at the table so do not eat there.
