Varied breakfast and a great view from the social area. Nice experience on our visit, Very comfortable and spacius room, bad and bed. The restaurant is very good, and in the area you can visit others for a very good price.

I stayed for 2 months in this place and thsi was my best ever experience. Starting from the Front office person Mr Bob to The front desk head Mr Eric to the person who greeted me every day during breakfast Miss martha to the folks who cleant my room to each and every person in teh hotel were absolutely excellent and made me feel like family
I can proudly say this was one of my best hotel stay experience ever.
Kudos to the entire staff

Despite showing signs of its age, this hotel still manages to offer a pleasant stay, though future guests should note that the rooms on the westside of the 10th floor are situated just above a rather noisy air conditioning unit. However, the true highlight of my experience was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Their warmth and readiness to assist at any moment significantly enhanced my stay. A standout was Señora Elisabeth during breakfast, who made me feel incredibly welcome, especially appreciated since I was traveling alone. She attended to her section with the care and attention reminiscent of a mother ensuring her children enjoyed their meal.
Melinda at the front desk also deserves special mention for her kindness and patience, making me feel comfortable to inquire about anything. Additionally, the service line staff, particularly the lady who would address me by my name, demonstrated remarkable helpfulness. When a specific meal request couldn't be met, she patiently walked me through the alternatives, showcasing the level of service I wish to find in all my hotel experiences. It's not about grand gestures or lavish amenities but about sincere kindness and professionalism that truly makes a difference. This hotel, with its dedicated staff, certainly knows how to leave a lasting impression.
The hotel is situated like 20 minutes from Tocumen Airport in a safe area to wander around. A safe and efficient way to travel in Panama City is by Uber.

This was the worst experience ever!! we stayed three days that were a nightmare... There is no service or manager on call at all. We called several times for several hours to the lobby and no answer. My two minor daughters and my husband (diabetic) were with me. We were not supposed to go out of the room for quarantine, but room service had a delay of 3-4 hours on every single meal, and I heard there were guests that never received a meal at all. It is important to emphasize none of these is free, we were charged for the rooms and the meals. As a Titanium Elite Bonvoy Member we wrote an email to the hotel general manager but still waiting for a reply (2 days later). Thank God we are leaving this hotel today. I heard other guests screaming of frustration for the same reasons, they may not write reviews... but we were not the only ones with this awful service. Don't stay in this hotel, the service is terrible, and there is no one to provide answers or face the problems either.

I’ve been coming to Panama for business, for a while now. I’ve stayed at different hotels but usually select Westin Costa del Este or Santa Maria. The best thing about the Westin is its location, close to the office I visit and the variety of restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast at the hotel is good, not great. Service, overall, is average - below other Westin hotels I’ve visited. Rooms are outdated, feeling like they have not been retouched or remodeled in years. TV is from like 10 years ago - where nowadays you want to connect, the technology at this Westin does not enable you to do much. Wifi is ok, not great. Room was clean. Bed ok. Pillows were good. A/C worked great.
All in all, if you don’t mind the outdated room and technology, this hotel is ok. Again, location makes it a good choice. But, for the price, Santa Maria is far better!

I was so utterly disspointed at my experience at this hotel that I felt compelled to write this message. Arrived at the hotel late evening and was made to wait for 45 minutes for my room although I had specified my arrival time at 7pm. The room they gave me was utterly awful! Old, dirty and in a deplorable state! When I called down to complain the person who said was the manager told me they were overbooked and that this was the only room left in the hotel so I could take it or leave it... The alternative was a hotel 25 minutes into the city which I recall is a nightmare to get out of early in the morning. I then proceeded to check out the next morning under the promise that my early departure would not be charged which was! I have already claimed this through my credit card. I did check in to another marriott hotel nearby and my what a difference it was! Honestly speaking tough, I would recommend this hotel to my enemies!

I traveled to Panama at the end of May and chose this hotel to do my isolation here. The hotel is nice but the room service (which you have to use as you can’t leave your room) was awful. Most orders would take over an hour to come and my breakfast on the Saturday morning took 3 hours from order to be delivered. In this 3 hours I had several calls to reception (would normally take over 10 minutes of calling to get though) to be told they would chase and come back to me and never did. The last time I spoke to them they put my on hold while they went to check and I was on hold for 15 minutes so hung up to try ringing again and still nobody picked up. Then the food came which was wrong but had to eat it as god knows when I’d get anything else

We flew in to Tocumen International Airport in the evening and were flying out at Albrook Gelabert Airport to Bocas del Toro the following morning, so we wanted a hotel reasonably convenient to both airports. The Westin Panama fit that bill. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant the night that we arrived and it was great, including the fresh fish. The suite was lovely and the hotel left a welcoming fruit basket, which was much appreciated after a long flight!
