Detailed Reviews
Nice facilities, I especially liked the pool area at night, I would suggest they keep it open until midnight. Housekeeping needs to get better, as often my room was not made until after 4pm. No drawers in the bedrooms, which were also a bit noisy. Ability to use Sheraton restaurants a major plus. Overall an ok experience.

Stayed for 4 nights. Fairly standard hotel service, with a very mediocre breakfast buffet. They served chopped hot dogs one day, the food was often cold, and the lineups got very long because of the limited staff. One day waited over 20 mins in line to receive breakfast. Beds were not very comfortable, the mattresses were flimsy and we all had sore backs by the third night. Tried to call the lobby multiple times during our stay to arrange cleaning or to ask questions but was always disappointed that the phone was not being answered. Had to go down in person to the lobby to get service. Ok choice for a budget, but because it's only a bit more for higher end rooms in Panama City I would probably stay elsewhere next time.

A nice hotel in a good location. The hotel is located is ~15-20 mins away from the airport and ~20 mins away from Casco Viejo. The neighbourhood is very safe and there are many nice dinning options in the area, also it’s attached to Sheraton Grand which has a 24 hours restaurant and more dining options. The breakfast buffet was very nice and the price was great since it wasn’t in our stay, it’s 10.70$ per person. The room was spicy and generally clean except the rug that was heavily stained. There’s an outdoor pool that we didn’t use but it was cool to hang out in the pool patio.

Luckily we only stayed here one night in order to be closer to the airport for an early flight. We pre-scheduled an Uber for a 0430 am pickup from our hotel to give us plenty of time to check in at the airport. Upon arriving at the Aloft Hotel, it seemed rather straight forward, we were greeted upon entering and directed up the escalator to check in. Check in was pretty simple and the lady at the desk explained the restaurant situation to us. We got a room on the 16th Floor so had a decent view and at first it was super quiet. Upon entering the room it did look a little run down, but we figured oh well it is just one night. We did noticed on the top shelf of the closet that it appears someone left behind a plastic faceshield from a previous guest and that housekeeping may have missed. I don't think these come standard with the room and upon examining it, it was dirty, but I did wash my hands afterwards. One thing we did like was the Brewpub downstairs, the food was pretty good and reasonably priced. We then got settled in for the night and after the noise quieted down in the hallway, we did get some sleep. The next morning we were up bright and early to catch our Uber for the airport. Upon going down to the Lobby we noticed that there was nobody to be found, not a single humanbeing in sight nor a notice on how to get ahold of one. We also quickly noticed that the doors to the hotel were completely locked at all entrances and we could not get out. Our Uber showed up and we tried to explain to him through the glass that we were trapped inside the hotel. We called out for a person several times with no response, we searched for a phone number or anything to get ahold of someone with no luck. We finally decided to wonder the hotel in search of a human. It took us walking all the way to the lobby of the attached Sheraton Hotel to finally find a security guard. He had to unlock the hotel door on the Sheraton side to let us out, then we had to walk a block around the hotel back to the Aloft entrance and luckily our Uber waited for us. This all could have been prevented if the hotel would have let us know that they were going to lock us in from the beginning or had a security guard on the Aloft side to let us out. First and last Aloft experience.

This hotel is very conveniently located next to the convention center and it's connected to the Sheraton Grand Panama and a large casino. We received great service during our short stay. The pool is small. They have nice areas for people to mingle like a pool table and a large sitting area. There are a few restaurants around and the restaurant that the Aloft shares with the Sheraton Grand is open 24 hours.
We were given a room in the top floor which was very well lit and had a nice view of the water over the convention center. Breakfast buffet was good and I feel appropriate for the type of hotel.

A fairly decent hotel for the value. However, You will pay to a $55 charge to bring family or friends to your hotel room. Secondly, calls to order food or drinks in the 24 hours restaurant is barely picked up at night time.
I recommend you try Sheraton next door for an excellent service.

Needed hotel close enough to airport to Uber there in early morning next day. While not metro accessible, really, this filled the bill. We'd stayed at Ramada on our arrival and there weren't restaurants nearby at ALL. When we looked there were several acceptable ones near. Unfortunately it was Christmas eve and several were closed or closing, but otherwise, this would have been a 'plus'. They were willing to price match (& actually 'better'?) Booking.com w/ a little persuasion and we were allowed to check in early to-boot. The restaurant which was where we ended up having dinner wasn't bad (nachos and wine, w/ bakery 'cake' in our room) ...kind of what i EXPECT of hotel dining (bad+ expensive) and our server was terrific, esp. as it was christmas eve and they were plenty busy. I would look for ALOFT brand hotel in future...other than being hard to use via Metro, room was spacious, well equipped, quiet and had a lovely panorama from 16th floor.
Breakfast the next morning was a TAD delayed from 7 a.m. offered 'start', something that determined we stay here as opposed to any other hotel since we needed to be at the airport early. It was wonderfully complete w/ plantain wrapped corn bread, cinnamon rolls, and lots of selection.

Our stay at the Aloft Panama was very nice. We arrived at the hotel late evening, so we were very pleased that there was a 24 hr full service restaurant on-site. The staff throughout the hotel were very accommodating and knowledgeable of the area.

I stayed at this Marriott Property 25 Nights, June 19-July 14, 2024, and it was so bad I was contemplating leaving Panama the first week. This is an International Hotel yet English is spoken very poorly and mostly not at all. During my stay I experienced as an American and Caucasian many encounters with Staff here and in the Sheraton Grand that felt to me very Discriminatory in nature. I had significant issues that were not met as a then Marriott Platinum Elite Ambassador which I brought up to the Manager in person and she subsequently made Promises that she never acted on. I was repeatedly denied the Complimentary Breakfast so much so that I felt as though I was walking on egg shells the entirety of my Stay. I never felt totally Comfortable nor Safe at Aloft Panama. I encountered many problems with my Room, many Huge Groups staying there the whole time, overzealous Security saying and doing inappropriate things, etc. I have never had such a bad experience as this one with any other Hotel. Adding insult to injury, I have communicated with Marriott International 8 times or more beginning during my stay and they are no help at all. I would suggest looking at a Hyatt Property. This Aloft Panama is suppose to be a 4 Star Hotel…it is 1 Star at best.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. They overcharged and refused to refund the overcharge. I was billed $29.10 for "room revenue" and then charged 10% tax on this figure. They do not respond to emails, phone calls or inquiries from Marriott corporate or my travel agent.
