Have been coming there for years. The reception desk was efficient and friendly as always. It is always nice to see the same gentleman at the front desk (sorry I can not remember his name) We paid with points taking advantage of the short term decrease in points needed.
Yes, our Bonvoy status was recognized and we received the appropriate perks. We even received an upgrade to a one bedroom suite! I had used the Marriott app to check-in so when we arrived everything was ready and we picked up our key cards. The hotel is in great shape. Although due to Covid protocols the lobby bar was not open and had been converted into a dining area for breakfast. Unfortunately no breakfast buffet which is usually great. But nice breakfast was served with fruit plate, eggs, toast, breakfast meat choice, juice choice and coffee.
It looked like there was new carpet in the room and hallway and the room furniture looked newly upholstered. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Of course everything was very clean.
I liked the suite. There was a desk area and office type chair both in the living area and in the bedroom so two people could spread out and use their computers. Tons of wall outlets. And there were two TVs, microwave and fridge that actually had a freezer section that kept ice frozen. The wifi speed was great.
The location next to Multiplaza mall is always handy and it is a beautiful mall. Unfortunately in the mall, because of Covid, most of the restaurants were closed and even a lot of the food court stands were closed. So much for finally being able to have a nice sit down meal.
But the Krispy Kreme donut kiosk was open!!! And the Riba Smith grocery store was well stocked. (Check out Riba if you come here, It has a good variety of foods from Europe and the US along with the normal groceries and prepared meals.)

We stayed at this hotel for 2 days in February to start off our Caravan tour. We had arrived early morning as we had an overnight flight so we arrived at the hotel at 9:30 am. Thinking we would have to hang out in the lobby until 2-3 pm they had our rooms ready for our arrival to give us a chance to grab some shut-eye! Very comfortable room with large bathroom and lots of fresh towels. The hotel has a lounge and the bartenders were so friendly! They even gave out 2 for 1 drink tickets. The restaurant offered a buffet for our group which was always hot and delicious each time. The pool outside is small but enough for the 6 of us at the time. There is also a good size gym. Very clean & quiet and the lobby nicely decorated with couches throughout. Huge shopping mall adjacent with high end stores. Close to the airport as it took us only 20 minutes, but this was on a Sunday morning.

Caravan Tours use this property for the first two nights of their Panama tour. The location is adjacent to the Multiplaza Mall which contains many familiar stores along with a large grocery. You can dine at the Courtyard in the lobby wine / sushi bar. Look for 2 for 1 drink coupons. The second floor restaurant has nice buffet style meals. Variety is typical Central American with beans, fruit, rice, chicken, pork, some beef and dessert assortment. The staff is friendly and ready to please. Location is about 30 to 45 minutes from the airport.

This hotel is very well located in the San Francisco area in Panama City . It is part and parcel of the Multi Plaza mall , where you can find a myriad of medium / high quality shops, restaurants , Coffee Shops and much more . The quality of service is more than adequate , and the rooms are excelled and at level with J.W.Marriott . You can easily nip in and out to the mall in case it is too hot or rainy outside . Access to the airport or the rest of the town is easy . For few dollars you can get to Via Argentina or old city ( Casco Viejo ). Breakfast is often offered in the package , but I just skip it and pop in to Paul Café/Restaurant at the mall .

The hotel didn’t meet my expectations or needs. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom, water leak from the shower, maintenance came to fix it, but it didn’t work. House cleaning team was horrible (missing towels three different times, missing floor towels twice, missing clean coffee cups and clean drinking water glass five different times, twice the toilet wasn’t clean up at all, no toilet paper five times, didn’t have water for more than twelve hours on one of the days. This hotel don’t follow a checklist at all to make sure customers don’t miss anything in their rooms. Breakfast buffet was not the best. The food was very repetitive almost every day. The kitchen did refill the fast enough. Sometimes I had to wait for food to come out between 3 to five minutes and the same was for the juices.

Have stayed at the Multiplaza Courtyard multiple times over the last 10 years. Have also stayed at the PC Sheraton Grand, W, Sortis, Marriott downtown and the Corporate apartments. Liked them all but keep coming back most to the Courtyard for the value, location next to Multiplaza, great front desk staff. nice breakfast buffet, rooms are clean, easy access to taxis in order to get to DR appt and other venues. Staff recognized me from previous stay and even remembered my name. Tip: go to a movie at the mall. If the program says "sub" it means the movie is in english with spanish subtitles. Seats are reserved so no hassle trying to get seat. The VIP theater has the lazyboy type reclining chairs and food service.

Dear Dccruisin Thank you for your nice comments, we feel thrilled that you have enjoyed your stay with us, particularly the quality of our breakfast buffet which included at least seven different seasonal fruit items, bacon, eggs, potato options, freshly squeezed orange juice, Panamanian premium house brewed coffee, local cuisine protein option and to better serve our guest we have an “Eggs are It” station in which we make omelets made to order with 12 different varieties of toppings, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, poached eggs, fried eggs and waffle or pancakes. The room was everything I expected to see at a Marriott. Great bed, pillows, sheets, clean etc etc. Breakfast, well it was my first day in Panama so I didn't realize how expensive it was for food here. So I felt like it was over priced for a basic buffet. I've had better buffets in much cheaper hotels in very expensive places such as iceland so... Also the price online we different from what I was charged which was irritating. Also when I asked the server how to pay earlier, by charge to the room or here (he had just asked me for my room number) he stated he would get back to me. He never did, despite my asking for water. And a spoon. And cream. Because none of this was supplied to me and not available at the buffet. So when I saw other people just up and leaving without paying a bill I assumed it would be charged to the room. And since the server still wasn't around when I was leaving, I just left. When I went to pay the bill that night it was a disaster and took nearly an hour to sort out. And I got called back down to the front desk twice for this. Then I got three calls at random times through the night from some automated Spanish speaking thing and my 2 am Spanish was not up to translation. I tried calling the front desk to ask what was going on. I assumed maybe incorrectly entered wake up calls. But there was no answer. It just rang. This happened twice and the third time I just disconnected the phone. Not thrilled with this stay.

We have stayed here several times and were here for several weeks a few years ago. I really liked this place and it was our go to place in the city. Service is always good. But we will not be staying here anymore. They have done quite a bit of remodeling to lobby /restaurant but it was better and I mean much better before. The lobby area is not as nice as it was by a long shot, but that is not a real issue. The rooms are an issue. Maybe they should have spent the money and maybe even a lot more on maintaining the rooms. Our rooms were dingy and things seemed to be not well kept or updated. My sister had a room which was supposed to have a city view but the window was so clouded by something in the glass I could not believe it was still being used until fixed. Not Marriott level attention for sure. So they gave her another room and this not as nice but at least the view into the parking lot was through a window you could see through. Think they would do something to make up for that but nothing. Basically I got the feeling the place is getting run down and they are doing nothing to keep it up. I would not stay here and recommend other options if you have them.

The hotel is great. For work, I stay either in Courtyard or Residence Inn regularly and this Courtyard meets/beats the expectations. I did not compare and booked straight in Mariott (half with my points and the other half with cash)
I checked in yesterday for 3 nights. They upgraded me without asking to the 8th floor. They said, they are giving me complimentary breakfast and my initial booking did not have that perk.. (That was surprising. Most of the courtyards offer free breakfast. Anyway, I said thanks)
My room 810 is clean, good bed /pillows to sleep. They serve hot breakfast, eggs, scrambled and hard, a lot of tropical fruits, waffles, bread, olives etc etc.
I will soon be off on to Panama canal tour. I was a little hesitant to book initially based on reviews. But I went ahead. I don't see any difference and their hospitality meets my expectations.

We were greeted and treated with up most hospitality! Celebrated birthday while there. Wanted to have private dining by pool. Manuel and front desk made it possible from giving us table settings to lighter to make the candle glow. They went over the top to make our stay perfect. Thank you, each and everyone!

This is a very good central location to do sightseeing. There is a pool and a gym, but I don’t know of any spa facilities in the hotel itself. You could check Multiplaza for day spa facilities.

Courtyard Panama at Multiplaza Mall do not provide shuttle service to the airport. We have an outsourcing company that provide our guest transportation. The cost from airport to the hotel will be B/33.00 for 1 or 2 people.
