Detailed Reviews
I had to visit Panama in September during the national lockdown. The two hotels I usually visit were closed. I drove around the city in a taxi at almost midnight trying to find a single hotel open to no avail. As I started to get worried the taxi said he knew a hotel called Principe Suites and that this would need to be his last shot at helping me. We arrived and to our surprise the hotel was open. I checked into a suite to celebrate. I stayed for 7 nights. The rooms are fantastic and the staff very professional. Breakfast was payable to the adjacent cafe and they delivered it to the room. There’s a sushi restaurant also in the same building who once again delivered food to the room (all restaurants in Panama were closed). All in all a nice surprise and a great hotel that I will now visit on each of my frequent trips to Panama.

Liked · Good location in the center of Panama City. Free private parking was a great perk. The hotel does not have a restaurant but is adjacent to an Asian/Sushi restaurant which is very good and a convenience store next door for snacks and coffee. Nice and comfortable clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. They also have a small pool area which is a nice feature. Excellent value for the money!
Disliked · The only suggestion for improvement would be if the hotel had coffee available for guests in the early morning hours in the lobby. The convenience store next door is not open early to get coffee and it would be a nice touch if it was available in the hotel.

Already stayed there a couple of times and would stay there again. Well located in the middle of the hustle and bustle evening foodie street, easy to locate by everyone. Is advertised as four stars (hmm I would say 3 superior) has adjacent oriental restaurant, an outdoor pool, tour desks and car park (highly appreciated). There are lots and lots of hotels in this city from very cheap ones (but also located in very undesireable areas and some if well located have doubtful management/staff issues) to obvious upscale ones. Found the rooms clean, with clean sheets and towels, basic with no frills. Everytime got the front rooms with large windows, so nice to watch the nearby city lights. Staff service was OK, just doing their job. They close the hotel with key after midnight but always there is the nightwatch in case a guest makes late night. If visiting Panama again, most probably would stay there again.

I'm convinced that hotels just aren't ready to open during the pandemic. While I can appreciate their eagerness to re-open they'd be advised to present thoroughly cleaned and prepared rooms. I landed here because a neighboring hotel was so disgusting that we couldn't manage for two days.
Begin at the front office staff, the first impression. One just stares at you, never smiles. Encountered five front office staff, only one spoke enough English to be of assistance. The rooms were sloppily painted. Paint droppings all over the floor, on the headboard, and mixed matched paint swabs. The sheets were threadbare. The cloth chairs, not hotel appropriate, were so dirty put a towel on it. The walls were scuffed and dirt that could have been wiped off. Does anybody do maintenance requests? The grossest thing is the faucet. It had an unhealth amount of mold accumulation on the vanity faucet. I noticed that something streamed with the water flow. I used the towel to clean as much as I could, Let's just say it took several wipes and twist to remove most of the build up. See the picture below. Hotels are running at partial occupancy, so why couldn't have changed the toilet top. A tear in the curtain sheers.
I read the hotel features. Most of the items are in the king bedded suites, kitchenette, bathtub, etc), not in the standard rooms. This is a stretch and deserves clarification. The rooms are not soundproof. I could hear televisions, housekeeping carts rolling down the hall, furniture scrapping the floor overhead, sirens, and guests engaged in intimacy. The lobby is filled with furniture, but guests cannot sit there.
The problem is limited inventory. The general manager, head of housekeeping, and maintenance chief need to tour and inspect all rooms to see which ones are rent ready.

For all the mean people that come visit my beautiful Panama: there is Google translate, I know you all have smart phones, get down from your high ponies and use the translation app. Now with this said, I loved the hotel, the girls at the lobby were very nice and smile and they are helpful and pleasant. The hotel gets cleaned daily, mop, change towels and even the bed gets changed daily. Not even Disney Resorts do that. You are going to be walking distance from everything, Restaurante El Prado is a must, El Trapiche is right next to it also. I always felt safe, we walked everywhere and we loved it. My husband only speaks English and he was so happy.
I am very happy I stayed here, it was one of our favorite parts of our vacation.
Everywhere you go, just be friendly , not entitled, be happy and you will always have an amazing time!!

The hotel decided to cancelled my booking done through booking.com without previous notification.
After more than 36 hours travel time, the only thing you want is to arrive at the hotel and sleep, however, when I arrived at the hotel with my 3 suitcases I was told that they cancelled my booking and that I have to look for another hotel and organize my own transport.

The staff were so helpful here when we lost luggage and had to try to get it back from the airline before a connecting flight the next day.
The hotel is clean, comfortable and is in a good location near lots of nice restaurants.
Air con is appreciated in the Panama weather. Excellent value for money.

Good location close to restaurants but Reception is terrible. Milna Diaz was rude and not accommodating at all. We wasted over 1h15 trying to get in our room. Once check-in, the key to our door did not work, the A/C was not working, no remote control in the room. Another hour waiting to settle in. Horrible... We only stayed ONE night and for that we (4 people) were very happy. You pay for what you get I guess.

This hotel was conveniently located within walking distance to the Metro station. It's a bit out of the way from Casco Viejo, which required metro transit or uber rides to get to and from. The hotel staff we're very friendly and helpful. There's a convenience store right beside the hotel which was great for buying a SIM card and snacks. We stayed four nights in which the restaurant was being renovated during our stay, but was ready on the last night we were there.

Very good location, good attention, and confortable. The sushi bar highly recomended. You can have delivery at your room, some very good places to eat in the area. 20 minutes from the airport. I would definitely go back there.
