We enjoyed Sunday brunch at the Hilton Panama. There was a great variety of food: omelette station, fresh-squeezed juices, pastries, and local foods. There is a great view of Avenida de Balboa and the Pacific Ocean from the outdoor seating. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful, especially Alexandra. Even though we were lodging elsewhere, we came here for brunch twice. I look forward to going back when I return to Ciudad de Panamá.

Looking at reviews i was a bit worried but i was totally wrong. The fantastic service started before we even arrived with an email from Jose B Guest Service Operator asking wonderful questionbefore our stay and informing us the breakfest buffet is from 6:30am to 10:30am. The pool is open from 8am to 8pm. The uber ride from the airport was only $14 and was great. Once we got here it continued to be fantastic from the door being opened and greeted to check in with Marcelino whom was welcoming . He acknowledged our Hilton status, upgraded our room to ocean view and we had a special surprise for our anniversary. Drinks at blue bar by Gabriel so on point some of the best drinks I've had. yes drinks were quite expensive for this area but since were from Chicago it was what we are used to paying for $12 to $15 a drink. The pool bar loved the location but seemed the drinks were more expensive and didnt seem to taste as good as the blue bar not bad by any means just Gabriel had this magical touch not sure how. We had breakfasts only one day out of the 2 because we had a early flight but the breakfasts was amazing so much to choose from and omelettes prepared by Tubi wow and the fresh juice bar. The bed was comfortable and easy to stay in unfortunately our first night it was hard to sleep as someone was having a party and i could hear the music echoing but that's ok im sound sensitive. Check out by Addis was wonderful. I had one issue with our room that was taken care right away and really not big of a deal. And the awesome service continued as we got an email from the manger thanking us for our stay and asking how everything was. Ok so i do have my 3 odds for this hotel. the hotel has 2 elevators to get you to your room from street to lobby and then separate from lobby to the rooms. Also the hot tub was barely hot which was kind of sad. Lastly our room attendant came at 3:30 pm to clean our room which seemed very late and kind of awkward. Since we had just gotten back from spending the day away. But we know now and look forward to staying here again. Also just extra info it costed $4 to uber to the mini rainforest (Metropolitan Natural Park) 15 mins drive from here and $5 to old Town ( Casco Viejo) 15 mins from the hotel. Also the restaurants here do take credit card visa, mc no amex but the servers do ask for cash for tip so be prepared. they do us USA currency. Pool towels need to be obtained from the spa they ask for room number and have to be returned. Lastly there is a store across the street called Good day that has aloe, meds, beer just like a small store. Enjoy.

I enjoyed the location. Close to old town and the waterfront. It’s a nice hotel. The pool and gym was nice. I liked the restaurants close by. Breakfast buffet was lovely with great team at restaurant. Front desk is nice.
Issue: housekeeping Called and asked for two boxes of tissue and was told limit was one per day. Keep in mind we denied housekeeping for the first two days...so Hilton saved on “products” on those first two days. Quite ridiculous and made me think automatically to myself “why didn’t I stay at Marriot?” We actually did stay at the W prior to this Hilton and they gave five times amount of everything we asked for. Bottled water and shampoos etc! W Panama (Marriot) went above and beyond. Speaking of bottled water Hilton only offered two bottles of water for a five night stay.
We had privacy light on the room door and the daily housekeeping would knock every day. One day I said no thanks and the housekeeping asked to come use my hotel room phone to make a call. I’m easy going and allowed it because of language barrier but I could see someone else getting really annoyed about the request to come use my hotel room phone to make a call. Strange. Not professional. Needs more training.
Walls are thin too. We could hear our neighbours tv blaring.

I am a Hilton Gold member and we recently stayed for multiple nights at this property. It is in an excellent location with great views of the ocean. However, the service is lackluster (as it is in all of Panama, really). We had called ahead of time and emailed the hotel for specific bedding requests and were assured that everything was in order. On arrival, on checking, we were told again, that our requests were taken care of, but, of course when we get to the room, our bedding request had not been taken care of. It took an extra hour after check in and multiple requests to even get some one to come up. In addition, even though we were Thanked for our loyalty to Hilton based on our time share ownership and Gold status with Hilton Honors, not once were we told the location of, or invited to the Executive lounge at check in- a privilege accorded to us at every Hilton worldwide.It was left to us and a wonderful lounge attendant to figure out the location etc The service in the restaurants similarly, was variable. The wait for a server to come to the table was uniformly long once seated, service times were again variable, once orders had been placed. The Bell persons were hit or miss, sometimes they would be available for help; at others they could not be located at all. The sad part is that this could be, with some attention, a great Hilton in Latin America. The rooms were wonderful, the location is outstanding and the place is generally well kept ; we just wish the service matched the other aspects of the Hotel.

The hotel has a great gym & spa, great location but is let down by quite poor level of service, especially in the room and for maintenance. We needed to ask EVERY day for new towels, clean cups and glasses to be provided, soap to be provided etc. Quite disappointing considering the top $ we paid

I have stayed here a number of times. It’s a great hotel with an excellent rooftop pool area. On this visit, It shined in all but one category. They offered an upgrade to a room with a terrace for an extra $30 @night ($180 total). The terrace was a spacious 106+sq ft of space, but NO FURNITURE. When I complained, they brought two chairs from their conference area. REALLY? No outdoor furniture like they have in the pool area. No comfortable chairs no lounge furniture. It was a $180 total bust and not at all up to the standards of the hotel or chain!! 🤦🏾‍♂️

Three times we checked in between Christmas and new year 2019-2020, it was our so called base location while we traveled around Panama (all our family, 6 persons with child). We liked the Master Suites and use of the Executive lounge there. However this Hotel is certainly more suitable for business Travelers as it's really very big and therefore a little impersonal. The Master Suites can be used for a family of 4 without problem.

This is a good Hilton hotel in the heart of the city. It's situated on the bay so if you have an ocean view, the view is spectacular! My room is on the 15th floor and I have large balcony, so I have the great view. On one side I overlook Avenue Balboa and the ocean and on the other side I overlook the pool. I love watching the bore tide come in every day .. it's rather unique. The hotel is clean and always looks brand new, The staff are friendly and the business lounge staff are exceptional. Raphael and Denese could not be more helpful. It's a large hotel in the heart of downtown, so it's close to most things. You can walk to restaurants, a market, a shopping centre and there is the boardwalk along the water's edge which stretches for miles. If you are driving there is valet parking in their underground garage. It's a good choice.

Each time I visit this property it get better and better. As I have stated in previous reviews, I frequently visit Panamá for business and my hotel of choice had been the Hilton Panamá for all the reasons I noted in the past. This trip I visited from 1/10 thru 1/11, only for one night and my expectations were met with the highest level of attention and service. As a Hilton Honors Diamond member my expectations are high. I would like to acknowledge a say BIG thank you to Edilsa my waiter in the Society Cafe. I had back to back meetings and she ensured that my guest and I had everything we needed during our meetings from fresh fruits, coffee, water and the essentials. I am looking forward to my next visit in April. Until next time.

hi Carla, the Hilton doesn't have an airport shuttle, but you can get taxis from the airport or even Uber , for about $18 from the airport to the Hilton. The airport is about 25 minutes from the hotel.
